Kess2020:You lodge EOI when you have a positive assessment and English result ready. Please check well to ensure your roles are Pharmacy technician related and not a Pharmacist role before paying money to Vetassess. |

Prehciousness: Great. You didn't state the state your sibling is living in Australia; that helps to review how he/she can help you in this journey especially if she lives in the regional areas. With the information you provided, you should proceed with your assessment with Vetassess. Just make sure your job descriptions are rightly tailored to what Vetassess wants to see. You may also visit www.anzscosearch.com and go through the 3 occupations lists to check for occupations closely related to your role. Visit www.anzscosearch.com On the top middle page click "Lists" or click the Hamburger sign (3 horizontal lines) to select "Lists" if you are using a mobile device Go through the 3 lists MLTSSL, STSOL and ROL Click any of the occupations that best relate to what you do. When you click the occupation, scroll down to 'Anzsco code' and scroll to 'Tasks' Check if the tasks relate to the occupation you have selected. Revert here with occupation(s) you deem relate to what you do and we will take it up from there 1 Like |

NB1912: Please I need us to reconfirm this info for ICT customer support officer. For SA, It is not among those for high points. The 75points stated there is for state nomination, we need 75 points in addition to article 3.5 and the 3.5 states 8 years work experience with superior English, so without 3.5, we should apply for 491. I also went ahead to confirm that it is ICT degree that is needed and not IT. ICT is much more than IT cos it involves communication tech. It is a broader scope. |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Knight1(m): 7:39pm On Mar 18, 2020 |
tunlex01: Hi tunlex01 Please I need your help. ACS assessed me and shaved off most of my experience to less than a year. Does this affect my work experience point in Skillselect? and which state can I apply to for ICT Project Manager (without a job offer)? I checked NT, Tas, QLD - Nothing NSW isn't quite clear VIC requires employment (Any good chances via INDEED?) |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by tosanlfaith(f): 8:27pm On Mar 18, 2020 |
Knight1: Why was it reduced? They must have given you a detailed assessment result. I also intend going for ICT Project Manager, hence my question. Although, am still reading the thread, Page 92 - Part 1, let’s just say I want to be fully equipped. NSW is actually clear. Check their website, you don’t need a job offer and no proof of fund. The minimum point is 65 and you have to select them on your EOI. I hope someone else can shed more light on the assessment part |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 8:59pm On Mar 18, 2020 |
Knight1: You cannot add the experience deducted by ACS. I guess your qualification was determined not to contain enough ICT courses. 1 Like 1 Share |

bellong: Oh wow! I actually studied Electrical and Computer Engineering. Do you advice I assess with EA as an Electrical Engineer instead (even though my job title doesn't reflect it, and I don't do much of it) Do they also shave off years at EA? |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Knight1(m): 9:36pm On Mar 18, 2020 |
tosanlfaith: My degree was assessed as an ICT minor. Electrical and Computer Engineering. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 9:41pm On Mar 18, 2020 |
Knight1: If you don't have electrical engineering experience, there is no point for the reassessment as you wouldn't get any experience points. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Knight1(m): 10:25pm On Mar 18, 2020 |
bellong: I perform IT engineering tasks in my job. It's just not the main part. That's why I was asking if EA also shaves years off experience. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by mamatwiny(f): 11:49pm On Mar 18, 2020 |
Knight1:Same course that I studied. Was it in Futo? I have not had good sleep cos of this ict classification. How many years did they shave off? In my restlessness, I googled on expatforum where someone posted that ACS gave him ICT major ( around year 2006) and he studied electrical engineering in bsc while electronic engineering in MSC. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Knight1(m): 12:22am On Mar 19, 2020 |
mamatwiny: They took out 6 years of my experience man. 6 whole years. Can't say how devastating this is to my plans. I advise you to check out EA if applicable. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by NB1912: 5:20am On Mar 19, 2020 |
NB1912: mamatwiny: My dear, whether you have I.T, ICT or Computer Science, all three degrees have similarities and they are classified as I.T. So for ICT Customer support officer assessment anyone of the three would fly period. Regarding SA Sponsorship for 190, are you sure you read the requirements carefully? I doubt you did. It's stated clearly that the occupation is available for Provisional 491 visa only -190 nomination offered to applicants under specific circumstances only (see 3.5). Under section 3.5 it states that you need to be a high point applicant in addition to 8 years experience and superior English. Did you check the requirements for high points? I bet you didn't. Please see images below from SA website for confirmation. @highlighted if high points is not available for an occupation it will be stated clearly. Let me know if you need more clarity. Cheers!

Knight1: Experience not approved cannot be added on Skillselect. For ICT project manager, NSW 491 - minimum of 5 years approved experience VIC 190 - minimum of 3 years approved experience with specialisation in other IT areas apart from web designer, Help desk operator or manager. |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by NB1912: 1:05am On Mar 20, 2020 |
Knight1:If you are working as an ICT Project Manager and your duties doesn't involve Technical work but just strictly Management, then you can apply under Vetassess for Project Administrator 511112. Based on your degree (Electrical and Computer Engineering), they will deduct only 1 year experience. Please note that the assessment for Project Admin is tough as you need to produce lots of documents to support your claim. Please take note of the highlighted as it will determine if you will get a positive or Negative assessment. Cheers! 1 Like |
