In society where things work, the person would be made to understand the reason(s) for the action. If possible paid part or all of the money spent.....

So the public proclamation was not enough notice?

Lol...How many places can they seal? Nigerians are generally not "introverted" (for lack of better word) people. Social distancing or whatever they call it, cannot work in our society.

OK... until you start recording thousands of death before you start distancing

If it was an extension ...the chairs will be arranged facing the hall not another exclusive round table

Good initiative. However I think we don't need to wait for more cases to restrict movement totally in Lagos. In the rush hour of tomorrow morning, it will be hard to enforce this. The reason I think we don't have enough cases yet is probably because only those with symptoms are being tested. Felliani the footballer got tested when he got to China without any symptoms and he yielded positive. I wish the authorities can give us data on how many tests has been conducted. We generally need to restrict movement. No sense closing schools and parties while companies and manufacturing and all government agencies remain open. Even the Lagos government staff bus carries well over 20 people at a time . Totally restrict movement now like in some cities in UK and USA. That will at least curb the spread. Don't wait for higher figures. Even India has a 14 hour curfew.

Yes, in those societies where things work...the residents went to the beach completely ignoring the stay at home order by their government.

used to think conspiracy theorists were nuts but now Im having a second listen. I've seen many of them who warned about the market collapse last year and warned people to prepare, stock food. it's hard now to say they were not making sense given that Trump is also someone who feeds on these conspiracy news too, so he might even be happy carrying out their agenda, and seeing it through.
The reality though is man is a resilient being, their fears might be short lived and the virus will disappear. But it has created a shift, if the government have never owned you enough before, this time you will gladly submit everything about you to them. Agenda 21
Happy for you. You are starting to think out of the box and breaking off all the limitations that has been used to enslave mankind.

[quote author=ignis post=87659253]Nigerians are stubborn people who cannot adhere to simple instructions even in their grave.

What is so difficult about suspending public gatherings of more than 50 people ?

We can't defeat and curtail this pandemic with this kind of mentality and mindset.

The same people will come out and blame Buhari for not closing the border and suspending all international flights before the corona virus was discovered.

The problem of this country is Nigerians. [/quote

That is the fact!]

The virus is real but overhyped in this part of the world. They are just interested in causing panic. Shutting down economic activities here and there. Use your brain.

Enough of his corona noise Abeg, I can bet that corona will never affect anyone in Nigeria, Chinese constitute the major percentage of foreigners that comes into this country, while the countries like Italy, Iran were being plagued this same foreigners from the affected countries were tripping into Nigeria, we would have heard about cases long ago before they closed the border and flights and we haven’t heard any cases, the only cases are for those coming from the affected country, so what’s the fear about it then, see to be honest corona will never affect anyone in Nigeria, let’s stop being pessimist, the corona you all are afraid of is being suppressed of so why the fuss, although we have to be very cautious and obey the rules set aside this time but please don’t let us live in fear, we will conquer this. Fear is nothing but the ghost of the mind.

I'm just trying to tell you that they are foolishly shutting down economic activities here and there due to something they have almost zero knowledge about.
