Please, I got a conditional offer from Teesside University for Artificial Intelligence, starting on September. The only condition is that I must provide a copy of my original degree certificate.

Sadly, just last week, I went to my school's (FUTO) Exams and Records department to check... I saw certificates belonging to my course mates who graduated same time as myself (2017) but I didn't see mine. They said it was not there, it was omitted and hasn't been printed. I didn't have a single carryover not to talk of extra year o.

I was advised to write a letter to the Registrar, attach a copy of my statement of result and explain my plight. I did that and the Registrar's secretary has asked me to recheck on Wednesday.

Do I still have hope? Has anyone here experienced this kinda thing before? Can they print out my original certificate ASAP for me? Have I lost the admission??

it is not a problem! Kindly email them telling them your certificate is not ready for collection yet! I hope you have confirmation of degree or result ? If you do email that to them! I personally haven’t collected my Certificate from my Institution in Nigeria and what I used is my Statement of degree result.

Yes this is the best choice.

When you are done with uni and looking for work employers don't like seeing only foreign experience on your CV.

The UK experience will help you out a lot. The internship might not pay much or at all but in the long run its the best option

For futo that’s the procedure to get certificate, and hose you saw theirs had already applied. It usually takes up to 1 month to get it. Don’t know if they are fast now. But if you need it urgently talk to someone in senate to help you fast track it. And you should have applied for it since last year and just waited for it to be ready without rush.

Save you graduated with a First Class, chances are you can’t get a realistic perfect combination of the bolded.

Weigh what your deal breaker is and go with what gives you the best combination of realistic makers.

This admission cycle tho, schools with the highest fee discount that I know of are;

Cardiff - 5k
Lancaster - 5k
Sheffield Hallam - 2k
Hertfordshire - 2k
Warwick -2k(selectively)
