COVID-19: Aisha Buhari Seeks Total Lockdown by valentineuwakwe(m): 3:46pm On Mar 23, 2020
Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has called for a total lockdown of activities across the country as coronavirus toll hits 36 with one death recorded on Monday .
Mrs Buhari specifically cited the case of state governors shutting down schools but allowing their parents to continue going to work.
She noted that much as the move by the governors was commendable , it could be counterproductive if the parents continued to report for work.
Taking to her twitter handle , @aishambuhari , she tweeted, “ It is commendable that state governors have closed down schools; however , this could be counterproductive if parents are still going to work.
“ We should not isolate students and expose their parents.
“ Let us remember that they will meet at home.
“ #TotalLockDown
“ #StayAtHome . ”
The PUNCH reports that one of the President’s daughters , who recently returned from the United Kingdom , is in self- isolation on the advice of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
Mrs Buhari had announced the development by herself last week.

Total lockdown especially in FCT and Lagos looking increasingly likely in the days ahead. My only fear is that millions of daily income earners will be driven to storm the rich neighbourhoods in search of food to survive. And it might turn out a bit UNPLEASANT. I am sincerely scared for big men.

Aisha Buhari should also do the right thing and immediately make available her daughter for testing to douse the tension among Aso rock staff and concerned Nigerians ...Madam you and your husband do the right thing now and emulate Atiku within the next 24 hours ..No country's state house is a place to self isolate a possible infectee as this amounts to threat to our national security !!!!! Even Donald Trump had to take a test and release results to show the white house was safe

Time for prevention is over. The virus is here with us. Let's start focusing on Post-infection/Survival procedures or guidelines. This is what will save lives.

The thrust of the whole matter is : KEEP YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY SAFE.

Ignore all these political angle to this deadly virus if you are Wise.
Supporting any politicians won't keep you safe from contacting this deadly virus.
Keep yourself and loved ones safe, that is all that matters.
Keep stupidity and Foolishness aside till next 2 months!

Use your brain and stay safe.

You only live once.

The reality of this coronavirus pandemic is that it is the elites and affluent in the society that will suffer it the most. Those are the people that can afford to travel abroad. And they are the ones bringing it back.

The government should as a matter of urgency begin to track them down for immediate quarantine before the thing begin to spread to ordinary Nigerians on the street.

This is a country where some persons won't eat, if they don't go out in a day

It is not necessary. With the way other sectors will be locked down and the awareness on coronavirus, the number of people going to the market will reduce. In fact, some market men and women will close their shops temporarily.
Even marketers won't like to have crowds in their shops.
The key is in awareness and no need to declare the markeys closed.

Re: COVID-19: Aisha Buhari Seeks Total Lockdown by datola: 5:07pm On Mar 23, 2020
Hmmm... Mrs Buahri should have sought total lock down on foreigners/airlines before the outbreak.

Prevention they say is better than cure.
