Apart from the trusted legit business people that I know very well and deal with every other day on here, I ask new buyers for their monikers and check them out briefly before I sell to them, how much more someone you're buying from.? In some cases, I've refused to sell to some people just because of their unclean history, peace of mind is very important... Let us thread with caution when we're buying or even selling here please and also let's learn to keep clean sheets.

The first phone I ever bought from Nairaland was some 7 years ago if memory serves me correctly. A white Nokia E-72 from a lady here. I was "technically" a naive small pikin at that point if the age factor is to be brought up. I sent her money without even knowing what she looked like.

Everybody at home thought I was crazy. The phone didn't come the day it was supposed to. Didn't come the next day either. She said she was having delivery issues with DHL. My friends and everyone had already started laughing at this point and drumming words of "Shebi we warned you" into my ears.

But amidst everything I was calm. The phone eventually came the next day via DHL. Till today I don't know what that lady looks like. I used that phone for several years until I gave it a beftting burial when it was time to move on. You see, This is the trust that keeps this community going. Do you know what happened when I received the nokia E-72 I bought at that time?. I was scrolling through the text messages when I found that the lady in question is well connected. As in I saw several, non-completely deleted text exchanges she was having with a top connected person who I am suspecting to be either a governor (maybe) of a state I refuse to mention, OR a senator, or someone that close to the top. Let's just say it was one of the decision makers of that state. She actually deleted them, but somehow didn't wipe-out the phone completely in error perhaps. I also saw some videos of her white friends which I deleted on her behalf and moved on.

Apologies for this long espistle. I just wanted to paint a picture of how the repercussions of things, like the one currently happening now, not just affects the direct victim alone, but also everyone who makes bread legitimately from this section, one way or the other.

This particular seller called twinskenny is a fraudulent seller, he held my money for 3 weeks and after goods arrived Nigeria he sent me picture of cracked phone.

He sent me a clean phone image before I paid for the TLC and which he said colour of the phone is black.

After phone arrived Nigeria he sent me a blue cracked phone image trying to persuade me to buy it like it's.
