An official of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Salihu Umar, says he has tested positive for the novel COVID-19.

Umar said this in a tweet on Monday, barely two days after the FIRS authorities denied reports that its employee had tested positive for the virus.

He tweeted:

Lockdown Lagos & Abuja NOW, please please please.

Someone on my flight tested positive, that is to say everyone on that flight has been exposed.

Although, I’m in self isolation, time to go get tested ASAP.

I have just tested positive for COVID-19. At the moment, I am still under self-isolation as health personnel make their way to my house for evacuation to Gwagwalada Isolation Centre. My neighbours and employer have been notified accordingly.

Make una help me ask the Dr. DoGood above me how many people him don cure with this prescription. These are the people behind the chloroquine overdose cases in the country.

Everyone really need to get tested especially southeast they keep believing their is no covid 19.
We don't have medical centers to get tested does not mean covid 19 does not exist their.

You just sit behind ur phone and prescribe unconfirmed medication, like a doctor abi?

Anyways, it's very obvious the virus have infected more Nigerians than what they are telling us.

By the way, why did he travel in the first place? He should have just stayed at home.
Only God knows how many people he must have infected with the Virus.

He might survive it but what about the aged ones or the persons with underlining or critical illness that he must have come in contact with?

I pray God have mercy on his childten because these Covid19 is affecting everybody whether directly or indirectly walai.

I see lots of people coughing in lagos. I am always on my mask and my hands sanitised.

I just hope a time will not come whereby people would be seen on the street lying helpless, or even hospitals filled to the brim with patients of Corona virus.

I really hope Nigeria’s case won’t be worse than Italy’s own, because I know how lackadaisical some Nigerians can be with matters concerning their own health not to talk of others.
