Yeah! Your parents were patient 31 back then.

I use to have the same pain, can't swallow or eat easily, it gave me headache and pain, I even look weak till like 3-4 days before it burst or the swollen part reduce. I take hot pepper and and ogogoro though, all you need to do is stick the pepper and ogogoro on the exact part of your mouth for 5min, then spit it out. And take pain killer drugs to suppress the pain.
