Yes, you need to write IELTS in some situations. Don’t you like IELTS?
Steps to take? Just do the needful.
Which school is preferable? Preferable for what exactly?

Paying £13,250 /£15,320 for bedforshire?
That’s a complete waste of money. Is that not the lowest ranking uni or maybe roehampton has overtaken them.

You might as well go to Emeka & son’s university in Nigeria.

This is not the case now.

My school (Bedfordshire) just postponed my June 1st start date and gave me a revised offer to start July 27th. My problem now is that the new offer came with an increased tuition £15320. I already made 50% tuition deposit of £6625 with the previous offer with tuition £13250. I am just confused. They want me to top up. This isn't fair at all.

The shut down and disruption has been a lot globally and unprecedented

I suspect when this is over , majority of businesses will increase their rates or fees to acomodate the loss.

In this case I think they can refund you if they change the date and increase the fees. That not fair on the applicant. They might say yes take it or leave it but if you decide to leave it you should be able to get your money back ...however legally I dont think they should increase an agreed rate . That's ridiculous

Hi, my suggestion to you will be to write to them and let them know you are already committed to the initial tuition and have made a deposit to towards your commitment. Please try to stand your ground and make them understand that you were never told fees will be updated before the start of your program (that's if nothing of such was ever written anywhere). If they refuse, i'd suggest you carefully decide what you need to do next.

My school doesn’t give students transcript. How do I scale this?

What I did was to address mine to a lecturer that's close to me. Use c/o , address it to a lecturer in any department. Someone that's close to you, as if you want to pursue further studies in that department. Then collect it from the lecturer when it gets to him/her. I collected mine and for someone this way.

No much difference.

Better reject the offer and request your money back. Tell them you do not want July start date.

Tell them the increased in tuition fee is fraudulent. That was not in your previous June offer.

Say you will involve lawyer for their fraudulent act if they dont return your money. They try all these with international students as people are ignorant.

They cant try this with their UK or EU student. They know the law.

You will see that they will decrease your school fees.

Exactly. It is not my fault the virus came. They should have left the fees as it was because I already made 50% deposit. I have fulfilled all the conditions for unconditional offer, now fee increment. What's the rationale behind increasing it?

Do they mean if the pandemic extends they will keep postponing and increasing fee at the same time? It doesn't make sense.

Everything about this virus is unprecedented so I cannot say . Do think anyone can predict but Government is working hard to protect business so they really shouldn't take it out on the end users. If they increase for future fair enough but someone who already accepted. .... silly

I would call them to complain how this new increase is highly unreasonable and might impact your ability to attend .

I have reached out to my agent and they assured me the school will reduce the fee back to normal.

Hello everyone. Please I need a review about Birmingham City University and Manchester Metropolitan University.

I need to know about both schools in the Business Faculty. Both schools have almost the same modules tho but all your experiences will go a long way about them in helping to decide.

Also the environment for students in general and what advice would you give.

Which city is better ? Birmingham or Manchester.

My cuz is confused. 27years old.

Thank you.

I. Got admission in both
From what I have gathered online and research
Manchester metropolitan University business school is accredited by the three biggest business body in the world in relation to business ( aascb, equis and amba) only 97 business schools in the world has such accreditation and only 28 schools in uk is amongst the 97 they call them 1%
As for cities both Manchester and Birmingham are good
But for me I opting for a business school which is more recognised world-wide cos that's the goal
You can also check business schools ranking in Europe and see how each fairs

.

Cool. However, dont give them the impression that you want to go there and ensure the money reflects in your CAS.

Also, find September admission in cheaper schools such as in BCU, UCB e.t.c.

Personally, I advise you to go for one year September 2020 MSc admission as you are guaranteed PSW visa.
Also, coronavirus virus effects would have gone.

Good luck.

I prefer Manchester but that doesn't mean it is better. Other people like Birmingham. So it depends on you. Cost of living is quite similar in both too.

Choose cheaper school fees option.

I got three admission offers in UK and actually I have decided which one to go with, but I need others input too. I will list the offers below and their respective fees, discounts and scholarships.

Teeside university

Course: Data science
Fees: 7500 per year(15,000 total)
Discount: 2000
Net fees: 13,000

Bournemouth university

Course: Data science and artificial intelligence
Fees: 14,500 + 850 placement year
Scholarship: 3500 (academic excellence)
Net fees: 11,850

Sheffield Hallam University

Course: Big data analytics
Fees: 13,905
Discount: 2000
Net fees: 11,905

If it was to be you which will you go for and why?
Please advise.

I chose SHU though

I will go for Bournemouth in terms of rankings & facilities.

Thought about that too but sheffield is a cheap city compared to bournemouth from what I gathered. SHU is not bad still. I have not been to the UK before so I stand to be corrected.

Would you rather study in a top university and pay a little more in living expenses or join the crowd in a lower uni but pay less in expenses?

Guess it’s left for you to decide

I chose SHU though

1. Check the course curriculum and if it fits to what you wanna add to your skills. Go for September 2020 one year admission to be guaranteed PSW visa.

2. The three universities are in the same ranking profile. They are not in the class of Imperial, Manchester, UCL e.t.c. Hence, choose SHU. The cost of living is cheap and livelier than Bournemouth. Also ranking does not really count for job for MSc holders. What counts is your work experience, skills and grade.

4. If you have 2.1 or First class, try to apply for half fee scholarship. Google to know about Sheffield Hallam university half fee MSc scholarship.

Good luck.

MMU is higher in ranking as to compare to Birmingham City
