U didn't add "misplaced priority". It deliberately left d airports open for people to bring in d virus. Its now its wants to form activity

I think its a nice move. But they delay too much, every seconds matter in case like this

Aimless failed government i guess they will bring out all their stolen funds to feed the masses going for one place to the other to make ends meet

No strategic plans all they do is to immitate developer countries that already set up plans for their citizens

You want to ban inter- state travel but you can’t close the international airport. It got me worried any time I see plane ✈️ fly over the area.

Total curfew is at best a time saving tactic. You still have to test, test, test to find those who have the virus and stop them from spreading it. A curfew without doing that will only slow the spread; it will not stop it. And once the curfew is lifted, the disease will come back.
If not for some of your retárded mods banning discriminately, I was stressing the place and importance of testing and speedy isolation few days ago. South Korea has been at the forefront of the testing kit advancement game so far. We have zero testing strategy. Without testing fears will multiply and rumours are bound to spring up because people are left to speculate. With accurate and speedy testing available, it becomes super easy to isolate new cases before symptoms show, by which time it might be too late.

Test method like antibodies analysis will definitely be too slow for us.

What of Fulani herdsmen moving around from state to state, country to country, chad today, Libya tomorrow, then all of them still congregate in Nigeria roaming across the length and breath of this country with ak47 because their grand patrons cabal are running this dictatorship regime? Las las na dem go still spread the virus like MTN everywhere u go

PMB is on isolation. Abba Kyari is on admission.

There is currently no pro-fulani chain of command to stop their arrests or effect their release in case they get apprehended for flouting the stay at home rule.

Seun, I said as far back as early February that this pandemic was more an economic battle than a healthcare one. Let this be clear to Nigerians. We donot have social security, we donot have medicaid and medical insurance remains in its infancy. The typical Nigerian pays his medical bills from his pocket, he will have to pay to receive Covid -19 treatmemt from a pocket that is under threat now.

As we speak even goverment doctors are being asked to source their PPE to battle this scourge. The government cannot provide the basic tools of war. That is how under resourced our goverment is. Now you ask your citizens to fight this pestilence with one economic hand tied behind their backs. How is the country going to win.

If this pestilence lasts till the end of the year, who can survive 8 months without income. Can this country survive a year without an agricultural planting season?....You shut the markets and farmers cannot sell their produce, why will they cultivate anew even as the rains have come. This thing has long term implications.

Other nations are precise and deliberate in their planning. They have an entry and exit strategy to shutting down. What is the strategy of this government in handling this crises. Please help me ask them.

Testing is key. read up "covid-19 testing" and see how south Korea and UK are handling it like malaria. They have the technological knowhow to handle testkit production. They have state of heart blood testing robots that can outwork any human laboratory. What do we have? Big men with cars and mansions.

Our world presently looks just like a movie,
we are all watching on the Television Screen.

It remind us of those epidemic and pandemic movies,
where people lock themselves indoor,
afraid of going out,
because there is something deadly outside, killing everyone.
Now, it is happening in our korokoro eyes

If there are only 51 cases in Nigeria, most of whom have a history of travel abroad, why are they doing all this? Shutting down the country doesn’t solve the virus. It only gives more time for the real work: testing, isolation and treatment. So how will essential businesses run without buying things from Lagos?
Seun, If you ask me, who am I gonna ask?

oh yes
they are given free foods in india and in sri lanka
they buy them for filth
no one ever became a muslim by choice
the caliphate came with sword
mohammed forced islam on others. tell nairalanders let me pull out receipts.
you know how mohammed forced islam on others by sword. no sane mind can read the koran and believe in it
the muslims who got educated in the US consder themselves liberal muslims. it means they do not want their own children to follow islam. they are forced to pretend because of backlash

look all the muslims men are fornicators. embezzlers. look saudi arabia itself and Kashoggi killing, the rape, the fleeing women, the misogyny, how they ostracise other muslims like qata.
their hate for shia muslims

no sane mind can folo the koran.
it is retrogressive.
muslims are now consuming alcohol like mad through their skins
hahaha

Can you please educate me how this will work considering the challenges the country has with information gathering and data science.

Why do you really think total lock down isn't the best strategy? My thinking is, this disease has an incubation period of two weeks tops; hence enforcing a three weeks or more comprehensive lock down at least stops the spreading phase of the disease.

At the end of this period, there are only two possibilities -
1. Some carriers (both new and the ones already showing symptoms) would have recovered from the disease.
2. The others dies from it - don't wish this to happen, just trying to be as pragmatic as possible. Although, those deaths won't be necessary if there are sufficient mobile health care providers partnering with government to treat the patients at home.

For now, I'm for total lock down considering the peculiarity of the country. However, any other superior method is totally welcome so far it records the desirable outcome.

Most of the reported (recorded) cases are imported into the country..If the government thinks it wise to ban inter-state traveling to curtail the spread of the disease why does he keep allowing foreigners (including infected Nigerians abroad) into the country?

Restricting movements in a serious epidemic like this is a nice move.

Or you want Nigeria to be another epicenter of this deadly virus, forget it, u might say u young and not at risk (assuming), what about your elderly ones...
