Many support/staff from the three (3) refineries (PHRC, KRPC & WRPC) were disengaged y’day. They are being notified that their services are no longer needed by the various contractors (whose only job has been to pay them even though they work directly for NNPC but the management hired these contractors to avoid the labour law that prohibit keeping casuals beyond 6months). Everyone affected would fully know by Monday next week but some of them have been informed already.

Honestly, I don’t know the exact reason. But the NNPC management conceived that as one of their cost-cutting measures since late last year because the refineries weren’t running and the OPEX was still near constant.
Perhaps, to also punish the support staff for protesting against the recruitment.

Relax GT are for now to sit at home, but be rest assured they will definitely call for EH after Covid 19 break, they have already created the space by promoting some staffs and retiring some. The is already a vacuum, it needs to be filled.

The Indian boy who predicted COVID-19 outbreak 10 months ago,Predicted That the outbreak will be over by MAY 29th . Scientists said some weeks ago ....they need 90 days to come out with a vaccine and test it b4 bringing it out .So we have like 2months now Hopefully it will be over by God's Grace .

Who knows if you guys salary will be increased to 350 monthly...Who knows if some GTs will not be confirmed after probation. Just thank God your got APL before Coronavirus uproar, and I thank God for the good things He will do after Corona issues

First you're making assumptions, I am asking on the behalf of someone close to me.

Second there's nothing wrong with asking a question about something you are not clear about that's what this thread is for.

To get 1 reasonable information on this trend you have to go read a lot of unnecessary messages of curses, abuses, off the point comments.

If anybody asks a question if you don't have the answer there no need commenting or quoting the message and packing the trend with irrelevant messages thereby discouraging other readers from reading the trend for important information.

Salaries do not change after confirmation but usually after 2 years. However, they might decide to do a performance ranking for the 1st year and ur salary might increase by 5% to 10%. Promotion years come with 10% salary increase as standard.
