Nigeria was shouting that her air borders was opened to the world when other developed countries were shutting theirs, I am 100% because I observed closely. If you think we doing good with the pandemic wait till this time next month. Una eye go clear by then. God's in charge ❤️ |

kikero:Nigeria would never have a Messiah. Nigerians are hardwired to complain, cheat, be primitive whilst adding religion to their everyday ordeals. If Nigerians saw a Messiah would they recognise him? Would their inherent proclivity for tribal and partisan politics allow them support his actions? Would their primordial instincts be relegated to the background whilst their hunger for development and a positive atmosphere takes a dominant hold? Your guess is as good as mine. |

PassingShot:You are as biased as the people you impugn as "ignorant commenters". I honestly do not have the patience to complete reading your disgusting piece. In your paragraph 2, the federal government began testing temperature of incoming travellers before it was discovered. How many cases were they able to detect at the point of entry? In summary, the government was unresponsive of the looming danger. |

Many people on this thread but they are quiet. There is nothing Buhari does that makes sense to them. |

This is my opinion: the fact that many Nigerians have not gravely fallen ill or many victims are not dropping dead is a matter of Providence. Somehow, God has curtailed the number of casualty in this country. |

PassingShot:First of all, why did they wait for Buhari's daughter to arrive from UK before closing borders? Two, why was it that Abba Kyari wasn't put in Isolation as he arrived from his trip from Europe knowing that Europe was already in panic mode then? Three, I do not need to compare Nigeria and UK.... Let us first start from our African neighbour's which are Ghana and Kenya.... Look at how their government handled theirs and truthfully tell yourself if our own government did well at all. Lastly, that our infected cases is minimal to that of Europe and America shouldn't mean we should sing praises to the government. Has South Sudan reported any case? That they haven't.. Does it mean they are doing a better job that America and Europe? That we are *LUCKY* that same God that saved us from ebola seems to be at work at this time of coronavirus shouldn't mean the government shouldn't step up their game instead of trying to compare themselves with other countries. Finally, asides that at the moment, our statistics of recorded infected and dead patients are low at the moment..... What are the government plans in respect of the economic impacts of the virus? 2 trillion dollars in America, billions of dollars in Canada and some European countries, how much has our government set aside and how do they plan to disemburse the money without looting by criminal elements? |

Itemmanu:Serious Gibberish. Dont mind all these paid and unpaid, APC Minions. The fact that he started his propaganda tale with the word "Wailers", esposed where his sympathy lies. A govt that does not have the commonsense to ban flights and quarrantine people travelling from "High Risk Countries" like Italy, Spain, US and the UK, into Nigeria, including Abba Kyari and the Presidents daughter, when the Virus was already in a pandemic stage in the UK and those countries, especially Italy, is the one that the guy is praising? He really must be high on some cheap 'shots'. A Govt that does not know nor put into consideration, the nature and poverty level of at least 70% of Nigerians, who live on day-to-day earnings but wants to copy America and Europe in instituting a lockdown of over 40Million people, is what he wants us to consider as successful? A Govt that puts the Cart before the Horse? A Govt that lies to its people and hides the details of the infection, a Govt that is so clueless as to know that Nigerians are not used to nor would adhere to "Self Quarrantine" is the one he is clapping forr? A Govt that is chasing 5over 5,000 infected Contacts who are busy infecting other in the populace, a Govt that cant even handle ordinary arrival documentation of New arrivals at the airport, is what he wants us to give a standing ovation? The fact that our infection is minimal at this point, has nothing to do with Govt efforts, it is basically a question of luck, lack of Testing to expose the magnitude in the population, our enviromental properties like peppery diet, high temperature, and genetic-immuno resistance. Dont ascribe it to the nonsense this Govt is all about. How much is this article worth? A bucket of Poopoo. Anyway, hypocrites and praise-singers looking to take a bite of the National loot are not in short supply in this Nigeria, by their words, you shall know them. I dont need any lame response, that epistle is enough. |

With the benefit of hindsight... 1.We should have stared agrresive testing as early as Janurary. Test everyone flying from a country that is affected...and quarantine them till their results come out 2.Isolate everyone that tests positive. |

All these people complaining about not closing the borders in time are not informed of the fact that NO COUNTRY on earth can close its borders to it's own citizens. No country has closed their borders to their own citizens. That's the height of stupidity and carelessness. |

ariefadenco:Great, which govt was indeed responsive to the looming danger then? I mean, tell us an example of the govt we should have emulated. What many of you wailers don't accept is that this disease is unavailable. It will reach almost every known country of the world. |
