All John Grisham, Michael Connelly, Sandra Brown, Perri 'O' Shaunessy, Patricia Cornwell, Dan Brown novels, that is if you are interested in thrillers cos I strictly read thrillers, and they are keeping me busy in this boring lockdown, I however haven't read the Godfather or seen the movie, anyone with a link to to read or download online pls? 2 Likes |

mexican: I use to be interested, but we don't have prospects or intend to develop or proceed to that level in naija, so I lost interest, are you interested or one? 1 Like 1 Share |

Biglittlelois: I just mean it as an hobby. Sometimes I just stare up at the sky and look at all those planets and stars! There's been a particularly bright one up in the sky but was unable to identify it. I intend getting a telescope soon from Amazon. It expands ones mind and lets one see things in a different way from most other people. It makes one realize that we are all just nothing compared to the vastness of space. Just my musing. Keep lookin' up! 1 Like 1 Share |

You guys remind me of when I was a reader. I recently picked up Omerta by Mario Puzo to re-read, I couldn't get past a few pages. I've read everything from Hardy Chase to Chinua Achebe, to Chimamanda to Cyprian Ekwensi to Ayi kwe Armah. Anyways, good novels to read include Omerta, Fools Die and the Godfather series all by Mario Puzo. Almost all Grisham Novels are good. All Sydney Sheldon movies are spell binding. Kain and Abel is also an excellent read. I've read so much that I hardly remember again. 2 Likes 1 Share |

mexican: When I was little and still interested in being an astronaut, I had an uncle that had a telescope, he was a scientist, he made me have interest in anything space and the sky, he'd tell me stories of people who went to space, he'd point to a star and let me see it through his telescope, and we would argue on how bright and dull it looks, then we would name them, we always watch out for shooting stars lol, he always had this high hope that one day, naija will expand its wings and reach for the stars, and he would be at the forefront, I do tell him I'll be by his side when the time comes, but he got old and died, naija never and has not developed to that extent, and I lost interest. But contrary to how you see things, sometimes I stare at the stars when less busy and realise that we humans are blessed to have these things, it was put there to guide us somehow and to exist for our existence, I know that one day, I'll go to space for sight seeing, walk on space, and be very close to my fascinations firsthand, hopefully, and after I've conquered claustrophobia. 1 Like |

My best was FOOLS DIE by Mario Puzo (My Dad gave that as a gift). I've also read the GODFATHER by the same author( I got that from South Africa) Then I've read most of the Jason Bourne series by Robert Ludlum. E.g. Bourne Deception, Bourne Objective, Bourne Betrayal, Also by Robert Ludlum, The Gemini Brothers. (I got the aforementioned from Amazon) Can't leave out Dan Brown. DaVinci's Code, Deception Point, The Lost Symbol, Angels and Demons. (Got them all from Amazon). DaVinci's code really shook my faith and I started doubting Christianity. I've not recovered till date. So anyone thinking of reading that book, should tread lightly. |

Zayttoven: Pls how do I get Mario Puzo novels online? |
Re: Please Recommend Any Very Good Novel You've Read Before by Nobody: 7:00pm On Apr 01, 2020 |
Biglittlelois: It's better to buy the paperback. It is not yet in the public domain for free download since it is not up to 100 years since publication. If you try to download it, you may instead download a vicious virus. OTOH, you can torrent it, but again, it's risky. Just buy it. It costs N1000 at Ikeja. Just ask those who sell books there. Keep looking up. |

Biglittlelois: Except you decide to buy from Amazon, I'm not really sure where you can download it. I bought the Godfather from Amazon, I received Fools Die as a gift. Have you tried wattpad, I heard you can get books there. But again, still not sure if it's free to download. |

Gaggi: Mario Puzo did not write Omerta. He wrote the first chapter, then had the heart attack that took him. If you read beyond the chapter 1, you will see that the writing is not Puzos own. Untalented writers destroyed what could have been a great book. |

mexican: Doitashimashite it’s really nice seeing someone else who loves to read and loves the Japanese culture as well. I plan on visiting japan after university if by Gods Grace this pandemic is over. Reading really does open the mind to new ideals you should really try to read those books at your leisure, if you’ll like to read more about Japanese culture read more of Murakami and Yoko Ogawa you’ll totally love it. Thanks a lot Arigatogozaimashita I appreciate. |

Wheel of Time series (High Fantasy) (15 books) by Robert Jordan and finished by Brandon Sanderson due to Roberts death. It's as good or better than Game of Thrones book series depending the individuals preference with the television series adaptation being produced by Sony Pictures and Amazon. |
