Hello Nairalanders, please I need advise in investing my money. I have some money, about 2,750,000 naira I would love to investing for a 6months duration (till October).
I have done researchs about treasury bill and fixed deposit ,but i can't decide on which to go with. Treasury bill are currently at an interest rate of 3.2% but I don know of interest of bank. I would love to get an interest of 10% for a 6months duration, I don know if that would realistic in our current economy.
Please if could get advice on the best rate I could get on my cash ( #2,750,000) be it treasury bill, fixed deposit or any, I would really appreciate it. ....... Also I would love to know if anyone could confirm if " WEALTH.NG" is real as I saw and intrest of 10% on a 180day treasury bill investment. Thanks in advance...!!!!

Money market will give you about 6.56%

All rates are always annual but calculated and earned daily while it's paid bi-annually for VGIF it's paid quarterly for MMF - Abacus

I just discovered that my accrued returns on FBN money market has been N0.00 since Friday. Which is not supposed to be.

Checked my bank account to see if the money was paid into it, but nothing.

I'm curious, anyone with any explanation to this?

Like i said before, please present a valid and logical argument....BTW risk averse is for those whose risk tolerance limit is very low, they are comfortable with less risk, less return but capital is safe and that one of the goal of MMF ...so present your argument why its a scam

Your accrued interest for Q1 is being processed for payment while the accrued interest from 1st April till date will be posted shortly. It's end of quarter things don't worry yourself. If you opt for reinvest interest by now you would have notice it has been reinvested.

Last month when I checked that's what it was doing.
Mean while the fact that a fund is doing 6.5% today does not guarantee it will continue in that trend.

Why stress yourself? You should know their ways by now. Next, they will advertise some bogus investment scheme that will yield 20% or more per annum ROI. Then, the gullible investors will PM them and the rest is ''oh my God''. Times are hard, don't invest your hard-earned money in anything you don't fully understand. BEWARE!!!

Lol......typical Nigeria, everyone is a scammer. Did what I typed have anything to do with advertising any scheme. Well mutual fund are legit, infact that is the only program I can vouch for with my life that is not a scam in these era of cybercrime. But that does not change the fact that you are all been ripped off. Yes, I have been there, don't be locked in your thinking or else you will be limited. Try to question other people opinions. Don't bother to quote me, mutual fund is safe as long your principal is guaranteed. Seriously, I can't stop laughing.

I've been in the investment space for some time to understand such tactics. Mind you, I'm well-diversified - Stocks(local/international), MMF, treasury bills, real estate - so I know the sign(s) to look out for before the launch of a scheme. Well, you've been asked to state some valid points to back up your claim but you've just continued to beat around the bush. How else do you want your opinion to be questioned?

Do you use any mobile or internet banking app/ platform of any bank? If yes, just do a transfer to First Trustees/SIMMF account with no: 9202476223. Make sure you quote your own StanbicIBTC Money Market Account No and your name in the narration/transaction details space before sending.

They will credit you when they get the alert.

Hello house.

Please who's using FBN MMF here?

Since 1st of April that FBN adjusted accrued interest for compounding and payment for others, they've not paid anything (at least on my own account/dashboard). This is quite strange. Is it cos of the Covid-19? Please any other FBN MMF subscriber experiencing same?
