Contested for face of valentine Akwa ibom
Tried my little best
Surprisingly,I came second out of 22 fine babes
I was thrilled
And the experience was wow so I decided to go into modelling fully maybe after this lockdown
Collected the price and sent it to mom

I asked for her permission to go into modelling
She said no
I have passion for that stuff and I can't disobey mom
Any Advice from my elders??

Let mum go into details. Maybe she can cite examples that are close to you. (that will be fine)

Launch your own research too! Make verification, those who are there, was it only beauty and brain that got them there?

Then, it all boils down to the kind of lifestyle you are willing to lead.. All these and "many more" should guide your decision.

Go for your passion.
When following your passion in life there's a higher chance you'll always be successful.
You could try to convince your mum or just go against her word and follow your dreams.
The choice is yours, You already have the answer to your question deep in your heart.

Your mom already said 'no'. Would you listen to a bunch of strangers over her?

The only thing you can right now is buy her support.

1. Get mentors in the industry to tutor you and share their experiences so you have a good idea of the risks involved

2. Persuade your mom using these mentors to allay her fears

You've got the beauty and the height
Passion is the fuel for purpose
Though you'll have to sacrifice a lot but go for it.
You've got what it takes
