Are you aware that for every transaction above 10k the government collects 50 Naira? Idiot is that one offering money? Are you aware that in Nigeria you provide your own water ? bro almost everyone with social security number is eligible for the USA stimulus check if you earn below 75000 per year you're eligible if you are on ssi or ssd you're eligible, if you don't earn at all or your earnings is too small to file a tax return you just register on irs portal and you get your money so please don't be ignorant and support this our corrupt leaders

Then the leaders shouldn’t have promised anyone money. How can they promise relief packages and looting it by themselves and we are seeing stories everywhere that they’ve shared money to the whole 36 states.

I leave in lagos and I pay taxes, majority of lagosians pay taxes in one form or the other, (both individuals and entities) salary earners pay taxes, even business owners pay taxes (PAYE)... Even in other parts of the country where taxation is not that robust... What has the government done with the various allocations they get from the federal government? You dont expect people to pay tax on nothing, what are they paying taxes on?

All over nigeria, people still pay taxes in one way or the other, no matter how small... (consumption taxes on power, water and a lot of other utilities)

Even you, do you know you pay taxes on the calls you make, the power in your house, water and what have you?...

So on what basis are you passing your judgment?

Power supply in the US is stable and Americans pay for it....

In Nigeria, oil is our tax, why give me salary then take back a portion as tax or compel me to pay it back. Just deduct that tax and give me the salary and in times like these, give me palliative.
