And that's the exact reason why he wasn't generalising. He said observation.

It's left for people to take it since it's an opinion and not generalisation or leave it. Anybody that takes it can't hold him if he/she experiences same, because it is his observation.

If it happens to you too, you'll also call it your observation. And he didn't say people should stay away from Xiaomi. Rather, he said people should stay away from Xiaomi devices with oled screen and he is right. This happens to most devices that uses oled and amoled screens and stated by guys here. If he had generalized, he'll tell people to stay away from Xiaomi in its entirety.

So you see, you took everything out of context because you were too quick to attack anyone that says anything negative about Xiaomi even if it's their experience.

Region can be found in additional settings

please is it same process for all redmi phones or just for the RN8 only?

It has not been launched Globally. Only Lei Jun and Li Bin can answer that question. Even Xiaomi Nigeria cannot answer it.
