A host can be a human being, an animal, an insect, and even a plant (although plant viruses don't jump on humans).

So, without a host, a virus can't survive. So, whether they are on earth or in space, as long as they don't have a body to hijack and manipulate, they can't survive for long.

So, if there are no host machinery to hijack, a virus may not even survive in a space travel from earth to outer space.

Their food are paste like, u know how toothpaste is, that how some of their food are, while some are like ice cream, they recycle their urine and drink, the recycled urine is very clean and drinkable. They started growing fruit in the space station, so they eat fruits as well. Their toilet is horizontal and has something like a sit belt, they belt themselves to the toilet. Everything is not floating in the air as u assume, they are keep in fix position. They even exercise there too.
