Corona playing us like checkers. Now that it's set it's eyes on the North, who knows what damage it's going to do this week.?

This might just force the inevitable split, cos I see no way this thing will die down in the north...even Lagos will get over it but you see those deaf guys in the upper part of the map. After the Southern Nigeria is done dealing with the pandemic, they there will be having tough time due to their unhygienic way of life and disobedience. So will our schools down south be waiting for Abokis to recover so srudents who come from there can resume school along side we here??
ASUU dey strike ooo,

So, a patient was being treated and the health officials didn't find out he had the virus until he died?
If this story is true, then we are working towards Melina Gate's prediction coming to reality.
yes , they should have known.
Is Covid 19 test kits not everywhere?
Or is NCDC laboratory not in Bauchi state which is just a stone throw from Borno?
They have no reason not to know.
You are very well informed.

We just do things the right way and often end up doing it the most difficult way after it might have cost us.

There's nothing disparaging about the fact. I have only expressed my fears, because if there's an endemic or a pandemic of the disease in the north, Nigeria will be in trouble.

Time will tell. And for your info, I have visited some northern states, like Nasarawa, Plateau, Sokoto and Kaduna. I know the level of illiteracy and disregard for education first hand.
You are entitled to your opinion.Visiting those places is different from when you are born and breed there.Agreed the level of illiteracy is high amongst the average northerner. They are getting more enlightened about the importance of education. It doesn't mean the whole North is filled with illiterates.

brother let it be the beginning of the break up. Every sensible person is tired of the country where some celebrate backwardness and illiteracy while the groups are just forward thinking

These are those that refused to obey the social distance order.

The way Aboki or Abochi people disobey order is second to none.

Upon all the powers, stolen billions and manipulations that their man Abba Kyari had in Aso rock. Look at his grave like that of squerel hole in the Bush. Not upto 3 meters deep.

I expected to see his red cap inside the grave too..

Off course, I am. Though you may be right about the northerners getting more enlightened by the day, I am not by any means saying that the whole north is filled with illiterates, but as you know already, with the high level of illiteracy there, it will take a miracle to curtail the virus from spreading further, which will be bad for the whole country. The government needs to be very proactive and take real serious steps to stop the spread before the transmission level escalates.

congrat. Just like forward thinking in abia with kerosene. Forward thinking my foot. Did you see northerners running to your states? But come to the north you will see millions of your people here.

It's a matter of time, the whole north may become epicentre of the deadly virus if drastic measures are not taken on time.
If you recall, the virus doesn't like heat at all.

So based on that, The north is even safer than the rest of the country because of their higher temperature.

Or don't you think so?

I quite agree with you. More proactive measures need to be taken. We will know how far they have learnt when Ramadan starts next week. That a big northerner is consumed by this ravaging virus, should open their eyes.

My brother, the problem will not be much of whether there's heat or higher temperature in the north or not,
but rather of whether the larger society steeped in mass illiteracy and religious fanaticism will allow any
measures taken by the govt to work.
