Dem don come o. Woz your own nau?

Haba mana! He is a dealer. He sells at the prices that he's okay with. In fact his prices has been about the fairest in this forum even before the lockdown thingy.

Why inject thoughts into his mind?

How I wish you knew why I asked?

However, if I decide quoting prices too, you will be surprised.

Tell the guy that gave you the quote that this is what you can offer.

Hmnn. The price differential is too much. Rather than lose the deal, he will collect money buy other product and tell you story. Better to source the materials and call him to install. Tell him the prices you are told they are being sold. Tell him you have seen someone that will procure it at lesser price. Discuss installation cost only with him if he can't procure at that price. I don't like transacting with dishonest workmen.

And it may not entirely be his fault. A friend once got a panel sold for 17 at 23 and same seller gave me for 17 when I linked him direct. I also would have quoted 23 if asked for the price.

Expect to hear from me when the lockdown is relaxed.I shall need a 24V 2.5kva/3kva inverter from you.Dont mind you recommending a good one.The one I used earlier lasted over 4years.Its faulty now and I need replacement, have been managing my 12v 900va Luminous inverter for some time now, pending when this lockdown is over.

Do you have your inverter owners manual still? Seems we are using same inverter. What model is yours? Sine wave ecovolt? If yes, I won't mind exchanging number with you so I can get it through WhatsApp. Thanks

Bravo series, the foremost old model.Very rugged, about 5years now.You won't believe I have been using it to power my 110watts deep freezer for a long time now.Unfortunately I have misplaced the manual.
Cheers

Anyone using BMV with emoncms? Trying to figure what value 11 is in the input values

#Aliexpress NGN 7,794.07 16%OFF | Battery Active voltage Equalizer 1S 2V 6V 12V Balancer Lead acid battery for Energy storage system ESS Solar Battery with LED
https://a.aliexpress.com/_d9nXr5i

Anybody using these balancers for leadacid smf batts.
HA02 doesnt seem to be doing much to keep my batts balanced. 8 x 12v x 200ah 48v inverter.

Or suggest a known functional balancer

Can you paste your BMV [Interfacer] or [node] [[20]] config for the BMV? The settings made in the EmonHub.conf file?

You are clearly not taking all the values spat out from the BMV interface sequentially so hard to tell.

Looks like H4 - 'number of charge cycles' tho or perhaps H11 - 'number of low main voltage alarms'

If I saw your EmonHub.conf file or Python script, I could tell for sure.

How much and what is the power consumption?

between 30 - 40k, depending on where you get it from
online store or showroom
ceiling of 35 watts practical usage

Am pretty sure you did not depoly the batteries same time.
If you did not then we are in the same boat. But
I will differ from you cause I believe my balancers are doing a great job.
With 2 Taico balancers and 3 HAO2 attached to my 20 x 200ah batteries purchased at almost 6months intervals. Some of whigh are already 2yrs old but never experienced 50% DOD.

Though I acknowledge lithium is is the new template for us but
For some of us who can't afford lithium at a go will have to make renewable work at our pace using lead acid. It still serves me well with my manual Air conditioner working till day break and a resting voltage around 50.1v

So my brother.

Don't loose faith in balancers.
I only hope you did not allow the terminals touch

Am using the solpiplog to send the data to emoncms and it indeed logs appropriately on its interface and that corresponds to yours, but what gets sent to emoncms is a little different. Well check on the solpiplog forum....on a lighter note what do you log with?

Edit: Corresponded the figure on solpiplog, so input 11 is midpoint voltage.... nevertheless the solpiplog is not sending all what it reads to emoncms server.

Update: Sorted

How do I get this out of my BMV? I'm only using modbus.

Hahahaha don't be my brother, they are just terms from a particular data harvester. If you have a BMV am sure you will be familiar with those terms. Not rocket science terms at all

Biko, how do you buy Lithium battery package at intervals? Buy the battery modules, then later the box, and later the BMS.... Lwkmd!!!

I think the sequence should be battery module, BMS and box, am really thinking of buying my battery pack in that sequence. That way it's easier on the pocket.

Or what would you all advise, jejelaye grin

By the way am thinking of abadoning the box and building a power wall or power box and be getting the batteries lil by lil, I hope the internal resistance won't be a problem for cells of different age and usage?

Buy the cells you can afford and a BMS that is scalable, then add more cells in future.

Please house I need your help. I got a 1.5kva genius inverter last year August with a Luminous Battery 200AH/12V. I got it from Simba Den. My problem is I had a mini gen before and mistakenly put it on without removing the inverter. This caused a little spark in my inverter like something burnt. Ever since then my inverter that would last for more than12hours doesn't last past 4 hours.

I'm looking to replace the inverter this month because I feel the battery is still top notch. Any recommendations please? A good durable brand.

My friends owns a luminous, it's a good inverter. Inverter is now 6 years old with zero issues. I'll recommend you repair it, if the problem is the inverter, as it may just be that your battery is now weak.

But if you really want to replace it, you can check Microtek, Sukam, Genius, etc are also good inverters in the price range of the Luminous brand.

It's not my battery that is the issue but the inverter. It's a genius inverter and I mistakenly charged it with a small gen which caused something to burn inside it. So I'm looking for a replacement inverter while I take it for repairs.
