JAB FAB First doses of UK coronavirus vaccine will be given to human volunteers on Thursday, Matt Hancock reveals


THE first doses of an experimental coronavirus vaccine will be given to human volunteers on Thursday, the Government has revealed.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock said that a potential jab which has been developed by Oxford University will begin to be tested in just two days.

He also announced a boost of £20million to fund the clinical trials, as well as £22.5 million to Imperial College London for its vaccine research.

Speaking at the Downing Street press briefing this evening, Mr Hancock said: "I can announce that the vaccine from the Oxford project will be trialled in people from this Thursday," he said.

"In normal times, reaching this stage would take years and I'm very proud of the work taken so far.

"At the same time, we will invest in manufacturing capability so that if either of these vaccines safely work, we can make it available for the British people as soon as humanely possible."

He also said the process for finding a vaccine would take "trial and error" but he has told UK scientists leading the search he would "back them to the hilt and give them every resource they need" in order to succeed.

"After all, the upside of being the first country in the world to develop a successful vaccine is so huge that I am throwing everything at it," said Mr Hancock.

This is why some patients go to the USA when British doctors refuse to undertake very risky intervention that can take life. If Britain say they have a vaccine, developed by a team at Oxford, then they likely do.

"HPV vaccine programme in schools 'could wipe out cervical cancer for good'," reports the Mail Online.

Researchers in Canada summarised 65 studies from 14 countries that have introduced HPV vaccination since it became available a decade ago. The vaccine targets several strains of human papilloma virus (HPV), including strains 16 and 18 which cause most cervical cancers. HPV can also cause genital warts and some other types of cancer.

Researchers compared infection rates before and after introduction of the vaccine for both teens (13 to 19 years) and young adults (20 to 24 years). HPV 16 or 18 infections fell by 83% for teenage girls and 66% for young women 5 to 8 years after vaccine introduction.

Genital wart diagnoses fell for both teenage girls and boys and young men and women. The numbers of teenage girls and young women with pre-cancerous cells found in the cervix also fell 5 to 9 years after the vaccine was introduced – a good sign, as this suggests the vaccine really will reduce the number of women getting cervical cancer.

In the UK, girls aged 12 to 13 are offered the first dose of the vaccine at school, with a second dose 6 to 12 months later. Boys aged 12 to 13 will be offered the vaccine from September this year.

The fact is that I have even given example of recently discovered vaccines others have adopted worldwide that they never tried to test in Africa or introduce there.

Nothing wrong questioning the vaccine but do it from a perspective of constructive criticism. I had to do a lot of research about HPV cervical cancer vaccine before consenting for my daughters to have the vaccine.

Don't tell us any potential vaccine for Covid-19 is a 666 mark of the devil potion they want to use to implant a microchip in all of us. Or that it is the ploy of China to kill Africans and take over our resources. Or that it is Bill Gates way of reducing half of the world's population.
