I arrived nysc camp Kano after a tortuous 2 day journey. Ungongo was where the camp situated before it was moved to karaye.
Having been mobilsed 3years behind my mates made my going less exciting. Again my girl friend at the University was mobilsed a batch before me and was already serving in the state.
Disappointed when I realized she was leaving with another man, a banker, I made a vow not to have anything to do with any girl through out my stay.
My activities during camp were mainly focused on PlayStation and sports.
Then I was posted to a place called Gabasawa lga. We were 15 in number, 12 boys 3 females.
Out of the 3girls, only one was good looking.
The chances of having sex with a non corpers in a village in Kano is almost zero. You are warned not to try it with the indigene.
And so I stayed for 10 months without sex. The only beautiful girl I would love never greeted me for once. She had started befriending one of the corpers that was a batch before us, immediately we arrived. And so when the guy passed out, we ignored her.
One day, I came back from watching Real Madrid v Barcelona match late. It was a weekend. I observed the whole lodge was empty. Guys had traveled to town for various reasons and this girl was left alone in the compound.

First of all, apart from my ppa, where I was posted to, I tried looking for another side work and in this whole city, no reasonable job opportunities..The one I saw expected me to work 7-6pm and pay me 6k..As per what??

It's unsafe too.. Unlike Lagos where I could easily walk back home by 11 pm and still have peace of mind ( I am not saying that I am planning to stay outside until 11pm tho but just giving example) but once it is 8 pm, your heart is about to jump out of your soul..

Language barrier too..My ppa too is expecting full dedication and not ready to pay you for all your good works and headaches after teaching.. Paying 2k and still complaining. They never provided anything required by Nysc and not like I depended on them tho but they are just greedy people that want to use you without being appreciative..

Nothing like recreational centres to relax on your free days. No malls, no gym, it's not safe to go for morning runs too, weather is too harsh for my skin and I am totally dark now ( I am naturally light skinned)..

The guys are mostly sex starved monkeys.They turn every conversation to sex..Their girls sef..I have nothing to save about them..

I have to be careful of what I eat too.. I was admitted in February because of food poisoning..

I actually have a lot to complain about but maybe because I am used to Lagos life..But even in Lagos, I rarely go out but when I want to go, I usually have a place to visit unlike here sef..

I went to camp with big novels to keep me busy. Many Corp members tried to date me. Without meaning to be immodest, I was good looking, still am. One of them was persistent, Lekan. Handsome and rich but I didn't give in. He later settled for ordinary friendship.

Just few days before I left for camp, I'd read in one of the dailies, the shameful sexcapades of CMs in camp either with their fellow CMs or NYSC staff or even soldiers. Stories of CDs littering the parade grounds, quickies in unholy places. .. and I said I'm never going to be part of that

And it did happen. In our camp, some CMs were punished and disgraced openly. Some for doing quickie and some for daring to sneak out to go clubbing.

How can you be new in a place and the next thing is sleeping around? Mtcheeeew for some people.

when i got to camp in emure ekiti state i wanted nothing to do with girls, but as fate will have it, i met a beautiful, well spoken darling of a woman, she's from akwa ibom.
