Canada takes loads of immigrants but how many get jobs like engineering or medicine. straightaway ?

As an Engineer you cannot sign off work and have to be shadowed by a Canadian Professional Engineer until you become one.

Salary rates for Engineers and doctors are better in Europe too.

Engineers and medical doctors cannot practice immediately. If you wanna work as an uber driver then yes Canada can give you that more easily than Europe would.

If you are are into medicine, go to Europe. Simple

Not necessary. Use xe.com for your conversion and let there be surplus funds - like a thousand CAD extra. Fluctuations can't take the whole CAD 1,000 away.

Changing your funds to USD at this point in time might make you lose money on the long run because once the major players in the currency markets steady their ships, normalcy shall return. You don't want to be buying dollar at 420 and be selling at 365. As of today, CAD rates at Access Bank is #277 to c$1. You can always use bank rates too, just add surplus to the funds and you will be alright.

I used my Naira account for mine. At the time, the 12,960 was supposed to be about 3.6m but I left 4m in the account and it was totally fine.

Cheers.

thank you, this makes sense

My post was not for him in the first place.

If anyone comes with rubbish comments and is not polite, I will respond accordingly.

I only gave my advice to the medical guy and everyone has the liberty to accept or not.

you said canada is for people desperate to leave third world countries. Ok i see you meant doctors not everyone. Well doctors still make it in canada after passing licensing exams. May take 2 years. Not every one can get into uk as a doctor as its now competitive too

Usually, I've learnt to read comments & let it slide.
But this? The temptation to say something pulled too strong...
For starters, with the recent spike in CRS score required to get ITA, most applicants have MSc (Foreign&Nigerian) or professional degrees, meaning these are persons who have good education & sometimes in European universities.
In a country with proper infrastructure, most of these persons with quality education and enviable work experience and certifications should be gainfully employed & enjoy high standard of living. But not in Nigeria, people with little or no education loot funds that could be channelled to improving the economy, basic amenities and the country at large.
To carefully plan and act on the need to improve your chance at a fair treatment and to improve the quality of life accessible to your family is not despiration my brother. It's common sense.
With this little explanation I hope I've been able to confuse &not convince you #inBrodaShaggy'sVoice

Cheers mate✌

Why not try Europe.

Canada seems to be for desperate people looking to leave thirld world countries or people who want a change in environment.

With your degree in medicine, why not try UK?

Do not feel angered by that portion of the comment.

Canada, Russia, USA or Germany, etc will work Free choice.

It is not to say that only third world people go to Canada because I know indigenous people from France and UK who have relocated there.

I was only advising someone who has a degree in medicine from Russia.

The transition will be easier into Europe than into Canada. Plus the net pay will be better.

Hello all

Urgent pls

Please do you need to show proof of funds for express entry when you have a job offer and presently working in a province you got their provincial nomination(under employment) for federal skilled worker
You don't need funds if you have a job offer that is valid for at least 6months.

Oga, pls, stop this trash you are spewing!!!!

Name one European country where professional like Doctors, engineers, pharmacists and lawyers get jobs faster without writing an exam (Doctors write PLAB and Pharmacists do OSPAP) before qualification to practice. They all have to go through their process there(and this is in form of examination or school) and after you’ve passed the examination, you still have to be supervised for a year.

It’s understandable if you love European countries more than Canada... but pls no European country pays more than Canada for doctors or pharmacists ( check the stats). The best is prolly USA and UAE

I am sure you are one of the people Canada rejected (probably because of the way you reason). Also, you are not in a professional field...

Finally, on your advice that Canada is for desperate people.... let them be desperate in peace... and since you are gainfully employed in Europe, you shouldn’t be on this forum.
Pls... advice accordingly....

If you are a professional that wants to go to Canada... pls research yourself(also solicit advice from smart people) and don’t let frustrated people confuse you.

The exams are quite difficult but in the end, it’s worth it.
Thanks.

mr gainfully employed in France but is trying to enter Canada yet bad mouthing same canada. Confused like his mentor nnamdi kanu. Many get good jobs in canada. For those who cant get what they want most go back to school to improve or change careers which is funded by grants in some cases 100% while others use proof of funds or loans.

Stop arguing with that guy, he doesn't have anything good to offer. He's here to create bad vibes for the hopefuls here. Immigrants need to adjust to life in any country regardless of the continent. Anyone thinking it's all rosy doesn't know jackshit. Immigrating to any country is just the beginning, you have to be ready to do what it takes to be successful.

He claimed he's gainfully employed in Europe. Maybe he is but did he find job straight off the airplane? Make he even tell us the country wey he dey sef.

I believe the purpose of this thread is to encourage those of us interested in Canada immigration. If you have nothing positive to add here, pls stay off the thread.
You really do not sound like one who is satisfied with his life. You are too angry.

And pls can we not drag this thread into some tribal war in our efforts to respond to negative opinions ...

This would be my final response to you!!!!

There are loads of Uber drivers making good money, probably earning more money than your gainfully employed self in Europe(you’re probably cleaning public toilets but who cares.... NO ONE).

Therefore, don’t minimize the legitimate work anyone does to put food on his/her families table.

You’ve said a lot of hurtful stuff on this forum and I personally believe that, it’s due to the frustration of time running out on your Canadian dream.

However, do not use your limitations and frustration to affect others on this group. This is a group for Canadian hopeful and you’re not supposed to be here.

Thanks.

just take your negative vibes and go. There is dignity in labour abroad if you must know. I know a doctor who drove uber and care jobs for two year. But today is a well paid doctor after passing his MCCQE exams. Keep hating while people are moving forward with their lives.
