No, that's not what I was talking about. I started the discourse because someone had said it couldn't be hotter outside of the context of coronavirus. I believe we have reached a detante smiley

You know what's weird though? Look at the Lagos table. Harmattan didn't use to be so cold. You can't even spot harmattan just by looking at the table!

There hasn't been harmattan in Lagos for as long as i can remember but outside Lagos,it can really get a bit chilling during harmattan.

U hardly get sub 22 23 degrees in naija even during harmattan. If that were possible,it would be paradise over here.

I disagree o. During harmattan Lekki kicks my ass! Where I stay the wind is no joke,I wear thermals and all the work staff wear puffer jackets lol. But back to the coronavirus thing, Houston and Lagos mirror each other so things flip in a month or two. If it's not slowed or stopped now, in a month or two it's really going to suck for Lagos.

Found 2019 and 2005-2015! How things change. Easy to spot harmattan now!

Things have really changed, trust me!! Global warming is crazy

However,I think the lockdown is distorting weather patterns around here as well as other parts of the world. The skies are clearer and rain which should have started leaking crazy by now is rather slow.
The clearer skies is getting us direct hit from the sun which is reving up temps and making it really uncomfortable cry

Thank God! For a second I thought I was going to have to argue with you about whether global warming was real. Phew!!!

Let it continue. I'm happiest in 90 degree weather grin

Yeah!! You should be. You got constant electricity and air-conditioning at ur whim, on here it's really a struggle to even get cold water to drink for most people.

People would even roll over in their cars overnight cos of air conditioning due to the mad heat.

Naija will dance crazy if they can get sub 25° grin

I work in the hospital in the USA ... the major issue with convid19 is that people are getting sick and dying.. The hospital is overwhelm with convid19 patients ,to the point that doctors will have to decide who to save and who not to save.... This sh*t is real , at my work alone over 125 employee are infected and the hospital is short of staff .... Sh*t is real ........

Lord pls let this not happen in Nigeria,
How many health workers we get ? How do health workers get infected with all the PPE
Many questions nobody can answer
Best is to lock urself at home

The crazy thing is that doctors and nurses that are getting infected will need time to heal .And it now puts more pressure on the rest of the nurses and doctors creating work overload ...... So if you are not dying or seriously ill ,no hospitals will likely answer you . And if they do you will have to wait in line ..

Well naija situation.. It's either you starve to death by locking yourself at home, or you out to hustle for money and run the risk of getting infected..... Depending how you look at it both are gradual death ....

So you don't think Obama an Harvard Graduate, Lawyer and Senator could not have done better..... So the handling of the Ebola crisis and swine flu crisis was not handle correctly etc....

Are u much aware that after those crisis that Obama set up a pandemic team .. The team was responsible for overseeing future pandemic.. Obama had to get permission from Congress to fund the department.. Which Congress approved and just like the Obama care that Obama put in place ,Trump went to Congress to discontinue it , but he was short of a vote, which Senator John McCain voted against.. Than Pandemic team he got rid of them ..

Now we are at a Crisis and Trump administration is now clueless on what to do . Plus millions of people are now unemployed ,money borrowed for the stimulus package is now added to the national debt. Or do you expect the USA government to print money?

Due to his negligence it has affected the oil market, which now affects you too.. When USA economy suffers it affects other nations too ... So at the end of the day it is affecting you ,whether you like it or not .. Nigeria lockdown is going to continue for another two weeks.. And enjoy while it last .....

And it seems to me you are so use to system of corruption in Nigeria ,that you make excuses for the failures of your leaders , and you think it is supposed to be the way things should be ....smh...

Unfortunately due to Trump negligence, Nigeria will suffer the most during this pandemic, better yet Africa as a whole.....

I need 10 drivers who have active Uber accounts and profiles for immediate employment. They must have a rating of minimum 4.4 and be ready to start working immediately. I pay 20% of net income, 100% performance bonus and additional N20,000 to high fliers (minimum NN150,000 per week gross earnings. You can send a mail to UberLagosSpectre@gmail.com and UberLagosSpectre@yahoo.com.

Hello Guys! my name is Fuhad, I guess being in the right thread... I want to start a Uber business, thinking of buying a Toyota Corolla 2005 or 2006 model and start driving as a Uber driver immediately after this trying time is gone.

I have been hearing a lot about uber business but not from the people that are doing it. I really want facts and that's why I decided to join this thread.

I am looking for a car to buy already and the cheapest tokunbo Toyota corolla 2005 car that have seen so far is #1.5m. I just want to know if this business really pays, how much can I be realizing every month after Uber commissions , and fuel. and I also heard that uber gives their drivers a maximum time to work in every 24hours. I am looking forward to be doing this for around 6 - 7 hours every day.

please I need you all to comment on this. I am a novice that just want to know how it works before I jump into it. I had jumped into a business once which I regretted, don't want such to repeat itself again.

thank you all.

For the guy above me, Uber business is not that bad once u drive ur own car. Driving for 6 to 7 hours daily u should be expecting like 4 to 6k daily. B4 u can make money u need drive for 12 hours atleast. Why don’t u try dru23 instead of Corolla. U will get it cheaper for a tokunbo than a Corolla.

xDD.. lol I just have to know if its best for me. because a guy once told me that the rate of the percentage uber do cut every week makes the business not profitable... I just want to know so I won't have to waste my money on a non-profitable biz

Oga!! What is your position on this matter, stop dilly dallying. End lockdown or continue lockdown, which one you day, stand for something.

As for me, I ended my lockdown since last week Monday.I don't believe the lockdown is working, that's me and that's my view, what's yours?

You keep talking about profits and profits

Sincerely, my friend, you'll be disappointed. Not because there is no profit, but because your expectations sounds so high(or has this touch of impatience and urgency)

My advise? Invest in something else
