Felicity0001: Yes, they should bear whatever comes their way. I believe we should stop all these false pretense that you care about them. If you care about those Nigerians in China, you would have petitioned the govt to carry them out of there. Secondly, I wasn't the one that send them to china, they went on their own will. Why blame me for their own troubles when the govt can do their jobs. |

nitigriti: I was just thinking that people that post a lot here should make sure that there are limited mistakes in their posts. Of course, everyone makes mistakes while typing that's where auto correct comes in. Felicity has refused to make what he posts readable and as such, I don't bother reading what he posts cos it's more of the same. He will confidently say he is a graduate and an engineer but nothing he posts here have proven it to be so. Earlier years on this thread, Andrew used to make such mistakes a lot but has grossly improved and it's really commendable. I am not too good with write-ups but at least, I read through things before I post. We are all learning here. I apologise if you are offended by this but we can all always improve. 7 Likes |

Carshopper: I believe social distancing and staying at home will stop the spread. In Italy, when the daily increase of the spread was high, you dear not come out, the police will arrest you. Here in Nigeria, we are seeing an increase in daily infection, even if you use face mask and hand sanitizer, when you go to public places, like the market, people will still touch you. The problem is people breaking the rules of stay at home, the idea that face mask will fully protect you can be misleading, an infected person with facemask will still infect his family members and those around them. We are still in the early days of corono virus in Nigeria and it will be wrong to tell people to resume work forgetting how our buses and cities are crowded most times. |

If the Virus continues to spread let's say for a city like Lagos, I see health care workers abandoning their duty. There's a thread on the homepage showing a specialist hospital in Edo state, with nobody to attend to patients. Even on a good day you know how long it takes to attend to a patient at the General hospitals, let alone now that Healthcare workers are also adding to the statistics of the dead . By then the question will be "who wan die?" Don't forget we have a strong culture and family ties in this part of the World. 2 Likes |

sexylassie2: This is the problem - we keep saying in Italy, in this country, in that country - every country can not apply same precautions and achieve same due to different welfare packages that the government will have to put in place.... China closed wuhan but left Shanghai and Beijing operational Residents in most cities in US already calling for relaxation of lockdown The NCDC response plan towards influenza published 2013 says lockdown isnt advisable. Presently we are seeing an increase in numbers after 3weeks of lockdown - most countries saw a spike first 14days of lockdown then a gradual decline. The typical nigerian is migratory in nature ... he moves from one place to another without no just reason sometimes. The typical Nigerian is on a daily based income. A method that attacks the situation with a nigerian approach while fusing a partial lockdown scenario has to be used. Crowded market spaces - Every local govt, iyaloja and health workers can be utilized to enlighten, educate and correct movement in market spaces. Large markets should practice a higher hygiene method. Use of face masks should be strictly encouraged. Public transport - this would have been a great time for the govt to launch mass transit that will be used to control, educate and enlighten people while they move from place to place Yellow buses - best time for the nurtw chairman of Lagos to make a stand on his tenure. Mass education of all drivers n conductors , daily distribution of face masks at parks Social distancing not in form of a lock down should be encouraged. 1 Like |

Simple solution. All of you that want lockdown lifted let us move all of you to one side of town. The rest of the population can now stay in lockdown. THE REST OF YOU ANTI-LOCKDOWN MUST STAY IN YOUR ZONE AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO VISIT THOSE IN LOCKDOWN then we check back in one month |

sexylassie2: I'm trying to see how much of sense you're trying to make here. If people who r infected can still infect their family members at home how then will social or home distance or lockdown stop same persons from infecting their family members? Aren't you contradicting yourself here? 1 Like |

Gentlelife50: Pele. Honestly I get where everyone is coming from that wants it lifted. If not for the fact that you could pass it to someone who decides to lockdown I would say to each his own. Unfortunately, like vaccines, it only works if everyone does it. To those saying it's increasing even with lockdown, you've told us exactly why. Ogba and co are not doing it so yes, it will continue to increase. Also, it's not necessarily increasing, it's also that they tested more so they are discovering already existing cases. The more you test, the more you'll find. |

Felicity0001: I've never won a set of balls before... I would totally take that bet Where I live, we don't play and have self quarantined way before even Houston said to. NOT. A. SINGLE. CASE. However, down the street there are cases. My estate is mostly old retirees who are supposed to be the most at risk. Do with that what you will. |

radautoworks: Over 90% of viral carriers in the first half-14days of lockdown should have been negative. So where are the new and increasing infections coming from in the second half-14days of lockdown? Albeit new test kits and increasing coverage of testing 2 Likes 1 Share |
