My dad died 2007. Before he died God revealed to me he's going to die . I quickly left work and prayed with him with other three people. I opened my eyes during prayer and i began to cry profusely bidden him farewell by waving at him singing we shall meet at the foot of the our Saviour ,Jesus. Rest in peace ,

I lost my mum Aug. 2010. She was my everything. She slipped in the bathroom after going for her bath on 16th of July 2010. I heard her cry and rushed to the bathroom to help her. I had to carry her out cos she couldn't move her legs again. We took her to the general hospital. She had stroke from her waist down. I will leave work to go to the hospital to see her everywork day and weekends i was there too. I was her baby. Before then she was a very strong and healthy no ailments. So we were shocked that she had the stroke. We took her to various labs for testing as the general hospitals didnt have enough facilities for testing. Then one day after work i got to the hospital and was told she had gone into shock cos her bp was low and the stupid nurse over dose her with sugar. I cried but she came back and was placed on oxygen. My sister went to ask her how she wants to be buried because we were losing her.. But i kept on praying and fasting that she will come out alive. But one day after work. I went to the hospital and she told me i should let her go. I told her no. She must withness my marriage and see my children cos that has been her prayers for me. All my mum did was to nod. I left the hospital to go back home. Only to receive a call from a close family inquiring about my whereabouts. I told her i was home. Why the questions. She was trying to pass a message but couldn't so i asked her" is she gone. Is my mother dead". She told me yes. I cried i screamed. I couldnt sleep. I wanted the world to end. I woke up the next morning with my eyes red and swollen. I shouted at everyone i was uncontrollable. Even those who came to comfort me. I was too painful to me. She laboured but didnt wait to see me great. She denied herself so much yet... It will be 10 years of her passing unto greater glory. I will always miss her. Iyaami Abeni. Rest on .
wow sorry egbon. Iku Iya o da Lara o. Ki olorun te wan si afefe re.

Not sure. I mourned my mom for like two months in 2003. Since then, not a single teardrop. My heart turned so cold.

Have u ever lost someone so dear to u that causes tears to roll down ur eyes each time u remember him or her?

Mine was David.
David was my classmate in JS 1. The most handsome, and one of those brilliant students in my class. David was loved by everyone in the class because of his childish nd joyous attitude. Though initially those attitude created enmity among the two of us our frndship started the day he saved me from being flogged by our nasty maths teacher who gave me a maths problem that I couldn't solve. Since that day we became great frnds nd we were always seen sitting next to each other in class nd working together during compound work. Our frndship was so serious that some teachers thought we were siblings. David was brilliant, selfless, handsome nd childish nd I loved him like a brother. In summary, David died the same week our exams was about starting. He was hit by a reckless lorry driver on his way to his dad's provisions shop. He died on the spot nd rumour has it that b4 he gave up the ghost he muttered the following words, "my dream of becoming a doctor has ended". And since then av always wanted to become a doctor 4 David but the Nigerian factor destroyed that dream. Till today I still remember my brilliant nd selfless frnd whose bright future was cut short by a drunk driver.

Pls I'm sorry 4 the long post nd some of the errors you'll notice. David died exactly on the 25th of April, that's why I brought up this topic. Pls share ur own.

Op you just reopened my scars, why did you have to bring this up... I can't stop the tears...

I can't stop the tears right now, when I read the comments and remembered my late dad and my late grandmother, they made me believe in my self, even when I doubted my self. Each time I visit the village, the first place I visit is there grave. And the tears is uncontrollable. It's a wound that can't be healed. Typing with tears in my eyes because I remembered them all. cry

My Dad was laid to rest exactly 1 yr today. Such a painful loss it was.. Patron, I miss you.

Emmanuel Imonisan was my final year project partner and friend. Heard he passed on from sleep.

Ngozi Uzowulu: another great friend that died due to complications from a fibroid operation.

Miss you all.

I lost my dad on the 21 of Feb 2017,after few months of illness. He was very hard to bear his lost. It was so painful and sad.Though I had a dream about his death, but I never thought it could come to pass.Sometimes, I'm painfully reminded of his absence.

I lost grandma last year April. We shared a close bond because I stayed with her when I was young.

Humans are pathetic, see all of them typing nonsense.

Most of them never valued the so called Dear ones they're pouring out crocodile tears for on keyboard.

Op i don't know what you meant by "...still crying till now" you mean, since they day they departed someone is still crying till date?
who's hopeless enough to do that?

Life's continues, my love ones are ever remembered and never cried for.

The worse of it was that i saw when life was slipping away from my mom that very day, she was crying, she asked me to touch her legs to know if she can still feel it..... I almost died that day so she could live, other patients were praying so she could live because they said they haven't seen a bond between a mother and daughter like that before cry cry... Finally, slipped away from her...

It's been 18 months now and i have refused to move on. Every 19th of each month, i completely shut off from the world so i can mourn her, i still want to have a moment with her to tell her everything that has happened since she left cry cry cry

So sorry ok. Yours moved me to tears.

Lost Both Parent in 2013, 7months apart between them.

I use to hear that "time heals all wound", but i guess for some wounds, time only helps you get use to living with it.

sorry dear. This life isn't OK. That's why it's good to talk to people when you're going through hell. Like me now, I haven't really been happy. I was suicidal one time like that but I have changed my mind to be happy anyhow. I can't allow my mum to cry again after I lost my brother na. God forbid. God will help us... Please be strong.

What a sad thread, you people want to mess up my day... sad
I'm taken aback by your display of emotions, lols.
Given your history of being forthright and sometimes mean on family related matters here where you holds sway one would think you don't have a heart literally.

Maybe the thread reminds you of your own loss too. Take heart if it is. At the end, we're all humans sha.

Mean as you usually come across to me, I do appreciate your maturity, forthright-ness and unalloyed principle. A man should stand his ground.

The day I lost my dad. I didn't cry much because I was trying to console everyone else. From then on I felt numb, till I saw him being interred. Person wey dey Hale and hearty just 3 weeks earlier. I cried and cried uncontrollably. Thought of leaving him there forever to the worms killed me. I just wasn't prepared for life without a father. I still find it hard speaking about him without shedding tears.
