Fidelity charged me 400/USD + 7% VAT. I think the others are adding the VAT as well.

I think these banks just wanted to take advantage of the situation. It's unfortunate. sad

don't know what's wrong with your phone oo boss.... buh my own RN8 plays most games like pubg, cod, mc4 in high settings without much heating(unnoticeable)
The heating is random like I said... My phone plays those games too for hours without heating up. I notice the heating when I play games like asphalt 9 and pes 2020 high settings. Those games wouldn't even run well on high settings sef

you should check the temperature of your environment. If it's hot, your phone will surely heat; and also check if your network is stable

Don't generalize sir. That your phone overheats while gaming doesn't mean all Note 8 users experience the same.

I use the same phone and everything works fine with nothing to complain about. Perhaps, your case is unique with some hidden reasons for such experience.

Sorry about that.
Oh that's cool bro. You know as users we all have different levels of expectation from a phone. Maybe my expectation is too high tho. The phone is very good phone but for gaming it's terrible maybe because of the sd 665 that has low support yet. I Check on user reviews on Gsmarena and many other good sites and 80% of comments about gaming performance and some other shortcomings has been very negative

the most stable overall is 10w but it's slow. It doesn't heat
You are very correct. The more faster the charger the less efficient the battery.. I checked the endurance rating of Realme 5 series with 5000mah battery coupled with 10w charger and their endurance rating is arround 140 - 160, while Redmi note 9s has 127 endurance rating with it's 5020mah battery coupled with 22.5 brick that charges from 0 - 100 arround 1hr 45mins according gsmarena

Once a phone starts to heat up, it will throttle performance to keep it from overheating. External temperatures play a huge role in thermal throttling something more than the internal temperatures.

The brick is not the cause of the disparity in endurance rate but other factors.

1. The Realme 5 has a smaller screen a major factor
2. They don't use the same resolution 720p Vs 1080p
3. They don't use the same SOC.

So when you consider all these you can't get the same endurance rating. Just by judging with battery and charging brick size.

Well, it's worth the price paid for it regardless. Maybe it's time to upgrade. Mi 9T, Redmi 8 Pro, Realme 6 or anything in between. wink

Enjoy bro. cool

Redmi 10x/Redmi Note 9 expected to launch for 140 Euros or ~60k according to GSMArena. If the base variant RN9 starts at that price, I think we'll be looking at 73k - 78k for base 9s and 82-85k for 6/128GB

PS: Pure speculations.

Weird. My friend uses the RN9 and has no issues. He plays Mobile Legends at High and HFR with slight heating after about 2-3Hrs. I'd suggest use optimal settings for games and send a feedback using the Xiaomi Feedback app.

Also, temperatures of around 38-40°C while playing heavy titles are to be expected. 43°C+ is abnormal. I suggest you use AnTuTu Monitor to check the temperatures your device is reaching so that you can give proper feedback.
