Personally when it comes to choosing a career or wanting to do anything what I first consider is my interest towards that thing. I believe the passion I have for anything I choose will be the force that will keep me going.

So when it comes to choosing between MLS and Nursing, why not you look critically into what MLS and Nursing both entails and you pick any of them that interest you?

Talking about job opportunities, I believe both courses have good job opportunities after graduation but hey you must know that no matter your course of study employment isn't automatic after graduation.

Whatever decision you make, Choose HAPPINESS

I actually don't understand why people just come here and lie. What do you actually stand to gain? You're a doctor this, you've done nysc that.. insulting people that have sown positive seeds in the lives of real medical students. Anyways, change and be humble! It can at least make Medical school more inundating for you if you eventually get the admission

254 can get you nursing or mls if you're from catchment/eld. Personally I'd choose Nursing over MLS... Its subjective tho.
Just keep a good O'level and hope there's no post utme yet.

you have every reason to be scared brother but still keep that glint of hope alive. Your O'level is impeccable and your utme result is good too. But believe me if you should find more than 5 people from Osun who truly have a better utme score than yours and are gunning for MBBS.
Please switch to BDS or any other course that you find appealing. Don't let Danfodiyo shenk you to applied chemistry. Only 4 were admitted from Osun last year and believe me they all were 290+ and just 1 to BDS. If you're smart and you can truly confirm that there are many better scores - then stick to the battle you can win.
Danfodiyo will only pick from the top to the last on the list of top scorers, now is the time to find other aspirants and get to know their scores, like that you can have a hint of knowing if you stand a chance or not.
See you therein fam.

I'm looking to write JAMB next year, and apply for medicine. I would love to get in through Direct Entry, but take 100level if I don't get DE.

I am thinking of ATBU Bauchi.
Dos anyone have information on the inner workings there?

Thanks for your advice. But what am seeing online about pharmacy is different. Some are saying the job is getting saturated. And am seeing graduate advising prospects not to go into pharmacy. Thank you.
that's a very big lie.
and its obvious you want to study a course because of its prospects. if you want to study medicine or pharmacy with that mindset you better drop it before you start for you own good.

This True life story Will change your mindset.

After passing my MBBS (medical exam), I went home after about 2 weeks(can’t exactly remember)

When I got home, I expected my neighborhood to hail my return. After all, they must have heard from my mom that I was now a doctor.

Unfortunately for me, people went about their activities like no new thing happened.

I thought to myself, “they will find out soon that I’m a doctor and they will look at me differently”.

When I realized that such attitude won’t get me anywhere was the day I stumbled into a pothole in my street and the people there acted like they didn’t see anything.

It dawned on me that no one cares about your degree unless they see you add value to their lives.

I began greeting them, sharing my beautiful smiles, genuinely asking, “how are you?”

It wasn’t long before I became some people’s favorite. (The Dj at my wedding, who lived in my street, told me that he wanted me to have a great wedding because of how he perceived me. Note, I didn’t know he knew me)

My point is this;

You are a doctor, and so?
You are a web developer, and so?
You are a digital marketer, and so?
You are a certified coach, and so?

No one will notice you and your degrees until you contribute meaningfully to their lives.

It doesn’t mean you have to start offering them your services for free (that’s great too)

Start with a genuine smile, be approachable, respect everyone, be human and not some highfalutin agent/robot.

Your degree will go down with you, but the impression you leave in people’s lives will make the difference.
