The almajiri system is outdated and definitely is not fit for purpose anymore in a sane and modern society. The security report on the desk of every northern state governor will attest to this, but rather than deal with the issue squarely, most of these governors had lacked the political will to address the problem. Well covid19 pandemic has presented them with a good opportunity to quash this system once and for all.
