Most of their oga have sense, the rest are senseless and useless I swear. Nigerian Police will have my respect until they stop requesting for tips.
#saynotobribe
That can be possible when the government starts installing CCTV at all check points...
and any officer that leaves the CCTV coverage should be penalised.

it's already known to IGP and an enquiry has already been launched, the woman is on her way to Force Headquarter, she will soon see "Welcome to Abuja"!
The calmness of the police officer has made situation worse for the woman, the only hope the woman has right now is
1. I think she is a single mother
2. She is a woman
3. Covik 19 pandemic is making situation bad for prison inmates so police are avoiding detention.

Aside this her punishment would be raise to infinity.

Is ur mom or sister a single mother?? shocked
My mom is not a single mother. I just don't understand what you people gain from insulting them. Was it their fault to be a single mother? A decent lady swept off her feet by a sugar coated tongue. She has sex with her deceptive lover who absconds the moment he finds that she's pregnant. Is it their fault?

Stop the stigmatization against single mother. I understand the struggles they face every blessed day and the helplessness of them. You think it's easy.
May you should put yourself in their position, then you will understand better
situation.

If a woman can be slapping a police man like this, only God knows where the husband is now.

But but but
But why slap the woman at first?

Never heard dt any US or UK police slap sumone just like that.. Even though our police are mad, that woman deserves 6 months in prison
Why do we have to always compare our nation with UK and USA as if they are the standard for moral and law enforcement. You never heard, and you can't hear because you dont reside there to know what is happening everyday in a very big country having different states at once. And to make you hear, a video was on Facebook where a policeman slapped a woman in USA, if you follow some of their pages you will see same thing. Crime is everywhere irrespective of race, tribe, nation, country and so on, in as much human live in those areas. Though I will accept that, to some good extent they have a good judiciary and ethical system but not a perfect one as most people claimed.

You're saying rubbish, brother.

Cry for help is locking his shirt for over 6 minutes and still slapping him repeatedly? What sort of unreasonable and partial submission is this?

What happened to using her mouth and face only to cry out for help?

That's a violent woman there and she went overboard, regardless of the said provocation. He didn't kill her child or something, to warrant such reaction.

Plus she had it coming, as soon as she was caught flouting the governor's curfew order.
Uh uhn! And it's so b&w to you, isn't it?
Well, dts how i see it.
You see a trouble-maker, i see a victimised woman.
We'll just have to agree to disagree

As for flouting the lockdown rules... Let's be reasonable pls. You cannot ask people to stay at home n starve. Maybe the officers were just doing their jobs but people are only doing what they av to for survival.
If this person was operating a small shop in front of her house n dts what her only source of income is, I'm waiting for someone to close it n provide her an alternative. I don't know what the full story is so it's better to keep an open mind but as much as we need to contain this virus, we also have to do it within the bounds of our local reality

He as an ASP was sensible enough to see that he was being videoed. When the video was not on, he slapped the woman na.
Exactly. I just hope the woman can get her evidence to prove her case in court. The useless officer had dealt with the woman ruthlessly before she decided to retaliate.

You will be a very bad judge, where is your evidence. Ok, the policewoman she attacked the following day also slapped her. Be sensible

The argument you’re bringing is an argument of another day. Atleast in this scenario, the police didn’t kill anyone. Good enough you don’t mind because the said woman is not your relative neither will you be part of who will suffer the brunt so it is easy to wish she does more slapping and send herself to isolation behind bars. If next time we want justice against police brutality taking a proactive step is more useful than a reactive one.
Bro what in the process he shot the woman, what would you have said? I know he was really embarrassed by the woman but policemen deserve more painful act from citizen I swear..

Sensible comment, those who are calling for the woman's arrest and castigating her are Cowards.. woman was very brave to her stood up for herself, nigerian women have suffered so much in the hands of police, their husbands and the nigerian society as a whole.

I watched one video where some men were throwing market women's goods on the streets and carting their goods away for some reasons i coudn't understand, these women even went on their knees begging him but he and his crew still carried on vandalising these women's baskets of tomatoes, yams, vegetables and other food stuffs. food stuffs that are very hard to come by at this moment in nigeria, nigeria where so many families are hungry now.

Lol....... To me I will never ever believe Nigerian police. The woman was making accusations at the police officer that he slapped her. Plus the video didn't start from the beginning of the matter. So my conclusion is those police officers did something to provoke the lady just to get that reaction out of her and then film it.............. Rubbish publicity stunt lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
lol...you have never encountered women that will try to make you look like the evil one when they are actually at fault before...women can say anything to justify why they are doing shii. I'm certain the police officer asked her to close shop and then she refused, and probably out of anger, the police might have tried to force her to close and in the process mayb hit her by mistake or something with his hands, then she will use it has an excuse to attack the man. For her neighbors to be claiming her down and telling her to relax and not fight the officer along side her, u should know the woman was overdoing it. Let's even assume she was right, the officer slapped her. I think if she slapped him once and the police didn't retaliate, that should have been enough. Free the officer and continue to kpara and leave. Not keep holding the officer like ur child, take it or leave it, it is an assault and she will be prosecuted . I am very sure the woman did too much

The Police man must have done something to deserve the assault from the woman, if we understand clearly the woman's claim. And the IGP is useless to be using Police to threaten us.... The Police has done more than worse to Society they are to secure. They usually deserve more than Slap

They obviously did sumtin wrong to the woman but she took it too far..

Any thing that has Over like over dose, over eat over Sabi over beat is too much

She took it too far.. A slap or two wud av been okay for the officer grin
my point ooo...if her allegation is true, one slap with the way the police was doing was enough. She for let am die down like that. She was on the wrong side of the law already before by not closing shop. She has issues.

From the video, I could hear her say " Oga mi leti" meaning he slapped me. Unfortunately, that wasn't captured on camera. In as much as I do not subscribe to the woman avenging for herself, there are indications that she may have be hit by the officer.

. Yes. Even from the the initial video from instablog, the woman said she was even eating when they came in and the DCO slapped her but that one wasn't recorded. It could also be seen as that the incident happened in a passage sef. Well when the authority is done with their own, hmmmmmm.........
