Please I have a question, I don't know much about immunoglobulins but this particular stuff been confusing me, why can't other immunoglobulins penetrate the placenta barrier and what's the feature of IgG that makes it able to penetrate the placenta

IgG can cross the placenta because of it size, it's a monomer and of smaller MW in relation to the others
The placenta also express the receptor for IgG which helps facilitate it crossing the BPB

I actually don't understand why people just come here and lie. What do you actually stand to gain? You're a doctor this, you've done nysc that.. insulting people that have sown positive seeds in the lives of real medical students. Anyways, change and be humble! It can at least make Medical school more inundating for you if you eventually get the admission
don't mind the ignorant lier he has unfollowed the group

Greetings sir
Unical post UTME is marked over 400
40 questions which implies each question is 10marks.Those for medicine will write bio, physics, chem, English and current affairs.
To me,their post utme is one of the cheapest to score very high. Many persons do score 300 and above even those with jamb scores of 190,215 etc
The exams last for about 30 minutes .
What you score in the post UTME will be added to your jamb score and then divided by 2
The outcome will be your aggregate which will determine if you will be admitted or not.
One thing I can say is if you aren't under their catchment or Eld try as much as possible to beat their merit cut off. They usually don't joke with their merit list.
As at 2017,I got in through catchment
I scored 282 in jamb and 280 in post UTME
Aggregate 281
Pls do u think 270 is safe for nursing?

I need more enlightment on the course physiotherapy. I got 249 in my jamb and I choosed unilag as my aspiring school but I'm scared if I'll be considered to study physiotherapy. I need advice on what I can do just not to forfeit this year admission because this is my 5th times writing jamb. Which is the best school to study physiotherapy?
What are the prospects of physiotherapy in Nigeria.
Thank you.
249 is kinda low for Unilag but if u have a sound waec and you can have up to 25 or 26 in post utme, then you are good to go

Hey Reign27

Unical Nursing Merit cut off for last year was 240, locality was 225 and ELDs was 215.

Though we all know cut off marks aren't constant but with a score of 270 you do stand a good chance. But do not be over confident of that score. You still need to sit tight and Ace the post utme.

Remember you can never score too high above the cut off mark, you can only score too low to be considered for admission. WORK.

Hello,

I think YouTube has all you'd need. Just type specific topics in the search bar.

Good luck

also there is this app called histogram(for histology) but you need data to use it

MBBS/BDS holders are all Doctors and are accorded the same recognition atleast in Nigeria.
I'm sure you know this but your problem seems to be 'fulfillment' which is very important also.
Well, I once heard you could do an 18 months to 2 year program in MBBS after your BDS program but I've never seen anyone who has passed that route so I can't vouch for that.
There's DE route which you'd start from 200L.
I don't believe that relocation part, it's same for everyone.
