That was a town hall meeting with the staff. The leaked video was totally out of context. The person who leaked the video was malicious and he would be caught. That video wasn't meant for public consumption

Is the error leading to gross losses not made chiefly by the management of the bank? So, who should pay the price for someone's inefficiency?
Don't get me wrong, I would never support anything that will negatively affect people's lives, knowing fully well that those sacked may never recover from it physically or psychologically. Many weren't aware that UBA did sacked a lot staff before the Covid. Secondly, access just acquired Diamond and if you are observant. You will see that in some places access is nearly opposite diamond or beside. How can they keep two close branches running? They would have still close some branches normally and staff laid off, but the Covid only contributed to the escalation. My major blames go to the government who have continue to do nothing by action to keep businesses at ease. This is only in one bank, what of other sectors?

That is it. They are not firing their core staff, but sending back the outsourced staff to their primary employers who would have no other option than to shelve the excess load.

They are just using corporate lingo to bamboozle us, they are sacking those they want to sack, and there is nothing anybody can do about it.

You are talking as though you are privy to all the insiders communications and dealings of the bank. The bank said they did not sack staff. Why do you want to believe they did?

When there are confirmations of staff who have received sack letters, u still come out to deny u did. U guys u are denying it now because cbn is halting any sacking process. The truth is u guys have been wanting to sack diamond bank acquired staff and waiting for the slightest opportunity to do that. Well only time will tell.

Cashiers are outsourced staff. They're not really staff of the bank. They're staff of their parent company. Get your facts right.

The way those banks treat contract staff ehen. If you have been there you will know it is an experience you may not forget so easily.

They admitted the sack on video, otherwise that manager should be sacked for reckless utterance.

They are still reducing the work force of CONTRACT STAFF which is the logical thing to do at these times when profit has drop. Even construction companies withdraw worker from sites due to lockdown.

I sincerely share your thoughts. My fearful challenge is the Media.

There's no investigative journalism again, All what they do is copy and paste and catching up on the masses emotional disposition of things. This days most people tend to believe fake news because it suits there Emotions
