Big ups man. Congratulations

GucciOluwa:

I just got admitted into St. Mary’s University with a 2.2. 3.0 CGPA to be precise. The requirement was at least 70% in the last 60hrs.

I read the comments of some gurus here but I kept saying to myself “my case is different” and I trusted God.

I’d say if you can spare the application fee, package your SOP and give it a shot. You never know.

I’m really excited and I look forward to guidance from everyone on my visa application.

Stay safe people, it will end in praise.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Success2Success: 10:26pm On May 05, 2020
Please guys, I need some answers to these questions that I have been holding close to my chest for years;

Scenario
- I was denied a US visiting visa in 2018, and I remember I was asked to state my highest level of education. I stated I have a MBA.

Question
- I intend to apply for a 1 year PGC/PGD or a 2 years M.Sc course in Canada, do I need state my MBA degree in my visa application? especially if I decide to settle for a 1 year PGC considering that PGC is lower than a MBA, but the focus is actually to gain technical knowledge in a field related to my BSc degree.

- Is Post Graduate Certificate the same as Certificate of Achievement?

Scenario
- I had my BSc over 10 years ago in geology but only have about 1 year experience in the field. I have worked in other sectors not related to geology for over 7 years but with my current employment, I can tilt towards needing my geology experience.

Question
- How difficult would it be to convince a VO that I want to go back to study for a PGC (1 year) in geology/ or geography for a field I left 10 years ago and have not practiced?

- Would going for a M.Sc of 2 years with the sole purpose of actually wanting to go back to my field which I have a BSc background in be a better argument?

Apologies for the long story, I want to be sure on how to submit the best application and if possible get back to geology.

Hello, I am having difficulties with signing my IMM5645E form on Adobe Acrobat. I can't click the space to type in my name. I can only fill in the date. Please, how did you sign yours?

Hi,
you absolutely don’t need to print and sign. you will be asked of declaration of applicant, after reading the terms, you should type “I agree” then you can can go ahead to write your given name and last name in the space given below. After that, next is payment.

Good luck in your application.

Good morning everyone..

Wanna make some enquiry....

Has anyone used FLYWIRE to pay his/her tuition fee here?

Does it pay to use it (most esp. In terms of charges etc.)?

What are the Merits & Demerits?

And is there any other thing one need to know when using this flywire platform ?

Am asking all of this cos of the way Banks are flooded with lots of customers lately and are not even allowed to enter...

and I heard FLYWIRE is an alternative to FORM A method of paying tuition fee

Jz wanna know if its advisable to make use of FLY WIRE or NOT

Thanks...

Go ahead and use flywire, within 3-5 business days, your tuition will be delivered to your school.
Flywire is very reliable and fast, plus their customer care is everything you can ever ask for.
They will carry you along and answer all your questions promptly.

Ordinarily the ticket should have been sent to your sponsor’s email account. Even if it delays the delay should not be up 24 hours. To be on the safer side, ask your sponsor to download a pdf statement. That one will have stamp and signature so you can attach to your application

Hello everyone,

I'm new here and I'm glad to stumble on this thread. I'm about just about to begin my VISA application, communication with the school has been slow partly cos of this Covid_19 pandemic.

My program starts by September, do you think I have enough time?

Also, my sponsor is my Uncle, my Aunt's husband, the statement he provided was from February 2020 with a little above 9m naira balance. Tuition is 27kCAD but first year tuition and fees is 11kCAD.

Do you think this is enough? If not what can I do to support this?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by temitopecoal(m): 1:03am On May 06, 2020
In addition to this. The school wants me to pay a tuition deposit to show strong commitment. Will this aid my application?

If I'm denied will I get my tuition deposit back?

Hello Legacyedition,

Your case is not as complicated as you may see it. Its not compulsory to do a second Bachelor since all you need is the practical and professional ideas. A PGD/C or Post Baccalaureate Degree should be a more suitable choice to consider and endeavour to relate it to your work experience. Since your father is financially sufficient and reliable, you stand a better choice using him as a sponsor. Your first homework and step to take towards your application is to sit down with your dad and have an open discussion with him about your intentions.

Also, with your available personal funds, you have the required funds to be self-sponsored but however after the deductions of both your tuition and LE for the first year determines how sufficient financially you are. Still, its advisable to include your father either as a co/sponsor or a financial supporter. Let me know if its not clear enough.

All the best.

Thanks for your response, I so much appreciate it. Many schools won't accept PGD/C for MBA, I don't want to limit my career again. Kindly do correct me if I am wrong. My target is MBA , then to executive MBA and doctor of business administration. What those billionaires are being taught in business schools, I must see it and apply it to my business also.

My two cents: from my own experience I found that some schools are willing to waive your educational background if your working experience is solid.

If it is also possible you may check for one or two online courses in business admin you can do or maybe a PGD in business admin from open university to serve as a bridge.

Just apply to many schools, write your SOP as you just narrated the story above (without the personal details of course). You should be able to get at least a graduate diploma from one.

Another thing is that most schools have two types of masters, the thesis based and the course based. The thesis based is usually more competitive so wherever possible always apply to the course based program.

Thanks for your input ma.

It is actually 8 weeks, which is 2 months for the work placement at Cambrain College for "International BusinessManagement", not 3 months, as I made a mistake.

I have another question, so sorry disturbing you with my back to back questions.

I want to apply for "International Business Management" for January 2021, but the application is closed. Application for September 2020 is still open. How do I go about this ?

You are not disturbing, please ask as many questions as possible. If I don't answer, my experienced bosses here will help out.

The bolded, just contact the International office of the school via email, calls or apply directly on the school's website for the program of your choice that is still open.

Most schools in Canada allow international students to apply directly for programs of their choice. I hope this helps.

@Frankrobbn1 and friends
Due to the fact that i havent receive any favourable reply from CIC regarding my application and my resumption is suppose to be May 18th and orientation was May4th,I had no option than to defer which i already did.

Now the bone of contention is this:
1.I am scared because i have to build another POF and the money will stay atleast 3Months in my bank account.

2.I can raise the living expense for 1year before september which is my new start date but i am sure i cant raise it until maybe july or august. So can i use one month SOA for the re-application ?

3.Do i need to ask them to defer till January because of the SOA as am self sponsor.

4.Yes i got bvl already no final decision yet but i am trying to have a backup plan.

help a brother !!!!!!

Share your submitted docs with us.

Thanks

Good morning house,
I have 2 big concerning questions I want to ask, if you can shed more light, i will appreciate.

1.For bank statement, can I use a family friend who is a UK citizen, also based there as my sponsor, he is 60 years of age. We are not related by blood, he is Yoruba, I am Igbo?

2. For working class, is the job enough proof of family ties? Because my job is the only thing I have as family ties atm

If you see this post, kindly share your advice, even if you not mentioned. Thank you

BIG Congrats...... That is how it suppose to be....... Please kindly share your Timeline with us

Like I said earlier, BVL before medicals is not the best bet for a turn down of your application.....

There is delay in the process because many MAY have been approved but they can not request for passport now because of the global pandemic crisis....
