the one I learned is to add $100 on top of whatever offer you get for your domains. Accepting offers immediately is bad( according to folks here) , and countering with a much higher price isn't a sure bet. So this new approach is right in the middle.....

Let's say Austin roofing, you have to check the ACR in ED to see its previous activities before it was dropped. Some of the domains people are trying to sell are already been used for spamming. You'll outbound n outbound without success. End users are checking them out without your knowledge. Some domains where used for porn active self

Someone (not on Nairaland) once told me that those are one of the best geo names to buy, because you have INCREASED/almost ENDLESS number of potential end users.
There are US city names that exist in several states. There are up to ten cities named Arlington in the US. Check this out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_most_common_U.S._place_names

First the competition is not for the "domain name" per say, but for the KEYWORD(S) that made up the domain name.

Advertisers bid/pay for these keywords so that when people search the keyword(s) through online (Google) search, the advertiser's company will appear in the ad section at the top of the search result. The person that bids for/paid the highest amount for that keyword(s) will have his ad at the very top of the ad results. The more the number of people that bid/pay for a particular keyword(s)/the more lucrative the conversion rate for the keyword is, the higher the competition/CPC (cost-per-click).

Therefore, a low/no competition keyword means that you can rank high for that keyword, with even free seo ranking techniques.
