Covid 19 is exposing the underbelly of the system that could eventually backfire, hence this forced rethink of the politicians. To be fair, El Rufai was not one of those who fought Sanusi.

I believe that El Rufai has what it takes to provide a rallying point for his fellow northern governors to end the almajiri culture. It is archaic and it promotes irresponsible parenting.

Imagine a responsible, tax paying parent, giving birth to 2 children because that is the number he can afford to cater for comfortably, then some rascals go to birth 10 kids even when they don't pay taxes and barely contribute anything to the GDP. Responsible people cannot be funding the reckless lifestyles of irresponsible people!

Please do not promote people to give birth to children they can't cater for.

Parents should learn to give birth to the number of children they can cater for.

If everyone in the society chooses to be irresponsible like those who send their kids to beg on the street joyfully and without any remorse, how will the society have funds to cater for the children uncatered for?
