Has the tonic

1.Undergone a randomised control trial in Madagascar, or any other country

2.Proven to reduce virological load vs other treatments

3.Proven to act against covid in vitro or invivo

4.Proven to reduce hospital admission times vs remdesevir or placebo

If you can't answer these questions, it isn't a cure.

Good response jare.

I have tried explaining to many.

We should all know that this covid 19, close to 90% may remain without symptoms or mild symptoms and will later resolve on its own if one maintain good immunity; with the remaining 5-10% needing treatment or even ventilator.

So, most of those claiming that their drugs or herbs can cure covid 19 need to follow the rigours of clinical trials to know it's safety, efficacy, dosage, side effects, amongst other things and be certified safe for general use.

A clinical trial—a critical part of developing a new drug, biologic, or medical device—is a research study conducted in human participants to test a potential treatment for safety, efficacy, dosing, and more. Regulatory authorities use trial data and other information to decide if a new product should be approved for wider use.

https://www.sarepta.com/products-pipeline/clinical-trials

There are a lot of such medications, vaccines, food supplements at various stages of clinical trial round the whole world.

https://www.clinicaltrialsarena.com/news/mgc-phase-ii-artemic-covid-19/

Some drugs already in clinical trials.

This is one of such.

There are many already at every stage of clinical trials worldwide.

Let's be well informed.

Madagascar barely treated 108 patient... lets wait till they ship out their drugs and successfully treat a thousand and more... even without Madagascar treatment Nigeria had 3000 cases and just 100 death, meaning we also treated over 2000 people

no. of recoveries is 600+ n over a 100 death and d Madagascar u talk about have fewer cases with no death, it automatically means their treatment is more effective Dan Ur own.

has Nigeria produced any drug or kit to help in dis covid 19?

before u put down peoples effort try to make sure u have a superior or beta solution n not just to talk because WHO said it is not a cure.

Am sorry to chip this in, all the local herbs we take for dysentery, piles malaria (in yoruba , agbo Jedi, agbo iba) did they pass through all this vitro and invivo test? Those it work? (Yes) those it save lives? (Yes) see these people behind these things ain't dullards they know more than we do...
I don't condemn scientific research and process it very cool, I studied industrial chemistry I know what this is all about, but we need to first find and alternative to save lives while working in a vaccine

I am sure you know that many of the herbal concoctions have done serious damage to the people in the long run since it's safety, dosage, adverse side effects amongst other things were not known before allowing for general use.

We as Africans should improve and not remain backwards in the scheme of things.

Can't the wealthy people or organisation not be reached to improve our trado medical practice?

Mind you, the Madagascar medication is now being considered for clinical trial by WHO which is a welcome development.
This is the right step in the right direction.
We should stop encouraging mediocrity.

Ok bro relax take a coffee and let count death toll till when vaccine is ready by September or next year... Happy death counting

Chief, I understand your position, however, the guy you quoted has raised valid points. Madagascar is not the only country with COVID cases without any deaths. And these other countries don't have any touted cure that's responsible for the zero deaths. It is possible that people in Madagascar have a higher natural body defense system due to their general lifestyle.

This does not mean the herbal cure does not work or should not be taken, but until you have eliminated other factors through accurate research (e.g if they were not taking the herb, would they still not have recorded zero deaths so far?), its curative properties still remains an unproven assumption.

In any case, WHO has now called for the herb to be trialled.

The Truth Is That The World Health Organisation Are Not Accepting It For Testing And So Far, The Tonic Has Said To Be Curing Corona Virus. Now As Africa, This Is Our Own Little Way Of Solving The Pandemic Issue And Because Of Politics And The Cure Not Coming From World Power, They Rejected It. I Believe All The Vaccine Undergoing Test Right Now Is Gotten From Nature But Refined And Packaged As If Its Artificial Ingredients Been Used. ECOWAS Have Adopted The Tonic, I Hope You Know, let's Support Africa, That's The Only Way We Can Help Other Continents And Human Race

Why stress the already stressed out health workers ? They put their lives on the line for you, they work without adequate PPEs, their renumeration is totally poor but they still work.
