Then to answer your question yes it's normal and it happens alot that partners can crush on other people but taking action on that crush equals cheating which is where the problem is..but wisdom should be applied if you know your partner is the jealous type no need letting them know but if the relationship is on a very deep level no problem... I used to have the belief that once someone has a partner he or she automatically shut down feelings for opposite gender. Lol, I was so convinced of my notion and I lived by it.
But as I grow I realize it doesn't work that way. Attractions aren't superficial, it can't be stopped from happening, you can only control what you do with it, how you see it and how long it stays.

I realized that nobody is infallible and it takes lot of self control, discipline and determination to remain attracted, in love and loyal to a particular person. There will always be someone better than your partner, there will always be that person that would make your heart skip some beats other than your partner. But that decision and your willingness to remain faithful to whoever you are in relationship with is what helps to conquer your temptations.

This I have learnt in a very hard way.

For her to have opened up to you means she wish to get over her feelings and remain faithful to you.
However be careful not to be a victim of blackmail if she fails because she would blame you and accuse you of not rendering enough help.

In as much as I love her honesty, I can't overlook the manipulations in her request. She's the one with the feelings she should be responsible for it. Asking for your help without her trying first seems tricky. However be yourself, have some patience, be vigilant and strong. Don't fall prey.
