There are domes all over Europe. The Capitol in DC has a massive dome. Its just an architectural extravagance that connotes power and authority taken from antiquity when the dome was the optimal structure to span vast spaces.

Nigerians generally have a very poor sense of aesthetics. Ugly gates and fences. Check out the entrance of almost all the Universities here in Nigeria. Sometimes I wonder what they really teach in our Departments of Architecture.

We should focus more on the intent of the "Honourable members" or quality of legislation they deliver and not the size of the structure. We just have a large Legislative structure that accommodates more criminals, that's all.

It's not to build it is to maintain. Like the Federal Secretariat where I went to renew my passport. Thank God that my friend knew the comptroller I for piss for body. A massive 3-storey complex with only one usable toilet. It was a great privilege for me to be handed the padlock key to the toilet
