Useless Atiku
The presidential jets are not property of Buhari or APC, they are Nigeria's Property, selling it will require the input of a a lot of variables, moreover how much will it generate if sold and how much will the meagre money be used to achieve.
As for the National assembly that one should be scrapped, they are useless as Atiku so I concur to that one.

Reduce the budget, honestly does Atiku know what he is talking about, if he had said, non essential items in the budget should be eliminated. I understand, but reduce noway.
We need serious and fast upgrade on our health system.
We need to make a 300 percent and upward investment in our agricultural sector, improve our mining, IT , Security, waterways, manufacturing, and Education.

We can't close shop because of CORONAVIRUS, when the world opens we will be seriously left behind.
What we need is Good loans, and judicious use of those loans , not reducing budget.

I am not an Atiku fan, but he is making sense, Buhari was saying he will sell off some Presidential jets when he becomes president till today he is yet to sell one. Sell the Damn jets and fund the budget, but oga is bent on borrow borrow, Those Jets plus Abacha loot are enough to fund the budget let's not even mention revenues coming from IGR, Customs etc

Lol, how much is Abacha loot? you people will just be making assumptions without reasonable calculations to back them up.

Abacha loot at max of 1 billion dollars is just 360 billion naira, e no even reach 5 percent of the budget. Sell the Jets for an optimistic amount of 1 billion dollars, e no reach anything.

You guys should stop talking about stuffs that you know nothing about.

angry angry

Before Buhari came to power,
he said he will sell most of the planes
in the Presidential fleet & give some
to our aviation sector.

He has ended up increasing the number
& allocated planes to his children & wife
for their enjoyment at the expense of the
Nigerian taxpayers.

By the tenets of Islam, a thief is
better than a hypocrite..

This means, the stealing PDP government
was better than this government
of hypocrisy & stealing with style.

They always make sense when they are either out of power or seeking power, but when they get the power, they immediately throw the sense away grin. No be today. Buhari said better than this before he became president, said all kinds of motivation talks, he will make N1 to $1, GEJ presidential fleet is too much, he will reduce it, subsidy is a scam he will stop it, he will build new refineries and fix all the old ones, he will fix education, fix electricity in 1 year and fix infrastructure, he will end corruption, he will destroy boko haram, he will do this he will do that, GEJ govt is borrowing 9ja future away, GEJ is govt is this and that...but las las everything turn out to be the biggest scam in history of Nigerian politics grin Atiku should spare us his hypocritical preachings. He is part and parcel of the ruling elite that destroyed this country. Believe these old political sharks at your own peril.

Atiku has valid points. This is how u should play opposition. Don't just criticize, profer solutions. I personally endorse that the 27billion budgeted for renovating the national Assembly complex be scrapped

Do you think they don't know the actual purpose of the N27bn? Not for renovation of anywhere.
Re: Atiku: Sell Presidential Jets, Cancel N27bn National Assembly Renovation Fund by Xisnin(m): 8:48am On May 15, 2020
Only one of the pieces of advice is practical.
No one will buy the jets in this present time.

But we can do away with renovating the national assembly.

He actually did made a whole lot of sense and those solution he highlighted are very realistic and effective if it should be applied. Wonder if he would do what he stated if he were the president tho.

On the other hand, I'm still in need of a loan of 10k to pay 12k in 2 weeks let me know what you might need as a collateral. Thanks.

NB no need to troll I wont reply u.

With the kind of people in the NASS, do you think they'll approve that budget if you cut their 'givaway'?

I'm in total support of Atiku on these ones though. There're numerous things that can be cut off to slash the budget; any serious and sensible government will take draconian measures to cut our massive recurrent expenditure. The current oil price presents a beautiful opportunity and excuse to cut down fat salaries and allowances from public office holders.

It is easier for him to suggest afterall he is on the sideline.. the question is, would Atiku have done same if he had been the president's shoes? No!
Re: Atiku: Sell Presidential Jets, Cancel N27bn National Assembly Renovation Fund by EmekaMD(m): 8:51am On May 15, 2020
I mentioned these as my reasons why I objected the plea for IMF to cancel our national debts.

Why should they cancel our debts when our president and his daughters fly on 10 different private jets while the leaders of the western world fly on commercial planes.

They want to spend 25b on a national assembly building that is as good as new. When our hospitals lack the basic facilities.

This is why I will never be convinced to pay taxes on my free volition.
If they catch me they should collect it by force otherwise no show for them.
I'm not interested in funding their expensive lifestyles.

This is a government that is hellbent on making decisions that would better the masses

The presidential fleet is something I feel should be reduced with immediate effect.
Sell or mortgage to private investment who would boost the country airline growth.
We see solutions but we prefer to turn a blind eye.

Hope we don't loose our sanity just because you want to acquire more power.

He put the jets for sale but nobody was willing to buy. So, he gave two to the Nigerian Airforce. This useless Cameroonian bisexual was the VP in the government that bought most of the jets.

Why not try and discern what he said to condemning his person.

He's making a lot of sense with the realities on ground and it's left for the OLODO president to heed.
