The write up states airpeace had been landing in Canada. This isn't their first time. I think this is just affiliate business some people are up to having giving the intended returnees codes to buy Ethiopian airline's tickets.

The write up will deploy sentiments to build their points.

What did they land in Canada for? Transit? Refuelling? Emergency? Repairs?

The owners of the land have said the airline doesn't have a clearance for commercial flights in their country, then why go through all the arrangement without sorting that out first?

They don’t need all that in case of an emergency evacuation. Canada only need to give Air Peace landing permit and they appear to be playing a political game, if Nigeria Government stands their ground Air Peace will be allowed to do it.

All that Nigeria Government need to do, is to or threaten to deny Ethiopia Airlines landing permits in Nigeria.

Air Peace don’t permit or fly commercial to China, but were given a landing permit for a similar mission.
grin...Canada and United States didn't stand their ground for the owner Allen Onyema to be extradited for money laundering. They might even seize the plane when it lands.

Nigerian High commission in Asia is even the worst. This is a letter we got from Thailand Embassy in Bangkok about how much people who chose to return home have to pay. The same letter was posted at Vietnam Embassy in Vietnam too. Booking a hotel prior before being airlifted. They ask Nigerians to pay for the airlift as well. No one is even talking with them because Vietnam is 101% among the whole countries of the world when it comes to Corona virus containment.

This issue can easily be sorted out by the two countries. This is not a normal commercial flight but an evacuation. How difficult is it to explain that?? Problem is that our Canadian high commission that should be doing the explanation to Canadian authorities is now accused of having interest in another carrier.

Canadian High Commission infers to the Canadian govt..

This is an EVACUATION. This is not operating commercial scheduled flights. Any airworthy plane can do it. Lagos State can have BRT go to Abuja to bring back lagos citizens. FCT should not compel them to use GIG. This is just see finish. Canada is negotiating plane to us to use to evacuate our people in Canada. Imagine you are from Abia, and your siblings went to visit in Bauchi State, then Covid19 happened and your dad sent his 406 to come pick you guys up and Bauchi state govt says no way and sent Kwara state transport to take you to Ilorin, then Ilorin to Abia.

I still see if from a commercial view, Airpeace will be rewarded for the transaction.
Had it been it was the Nig Airforce, we can say it's on humanitarian grounds.

Why all this nonsense, they have been flying in and out of both Usa and Canada previously on there own , why sudden change BTW it was stated that Air Peace was the one that airlifted Nigeria's from USA and they have already ... So why all this nonsense to sound tribal while discrediting another man work and Nigeria at Large.

USA and Canada are 2 different sovereignty countries and they handle matters differently. I said maybe the man also has a case in Canada and they are targeting his Aorline. Must everything be tribal?

Pls stop talking trash. This is an emergency landing /evacuation . It doesn’t require you to be registered. All you need is permission to land n evacuate.

It is a commercial flight because people are paying, there are legal implications should there be a crash for instance

Private jets fall under a different category to airlines

The minute you are paying then legally it is no longer an evacuation but a commercial flight

What are you saying? Do you know the number of airlines that have airlifted people and goods during this lockdown from different parts of the world without prior operation in those countries? All they needed was a diplomatic approval from the govt. That was how many countries were able to airlift from NIgeria.

Airpeace has all it takes to fly and carry passengers in Canada as that was not the First time.
Nigeria govt. should act decisively for once and stop the ridiculing of Nigeria.

They are not doing it for profit but airliftin their stranded citizens hence they don't need commercial landing license which will be useless afterwards. Rather it is Canada who wants to make brisk money out of the situation

Foolish lies.

Air peace is not cleared to fly in Canada. It is not a lawless country where anything goes. You people should keep your lawlessness in your country and find a licensed airline to charter and bring back the Nigerians.

Did you read the whole thing at all?

Did you not read that Airpeace had landed in Canada before? Without permits how did Airpeace land in Canada?

The truth is that the Nigerian leadership problems keep growing daily. Nigeria does not have a national carrier. Funds have been looted in the name of a national carrier. Of all the airlines operating in this country Airpeace seems to be far ahead.
Unfortunately politics, tribalism, bickerings, etc will not allow this airline achieve its potential. Do not be surprised that someone somewhere has been sabotaging the efforts. Maybe someone has demanded something that he has not been given and that same person has made himself the stumbling block.

Again you and I are not in the airline industry and we may not know much about landing permits. But I think it is very safe to say that Airpeace management, seeing that they are fast growing would have been trying to get all the needed clearances to major cities in the world. Also do not allow your expectations to be too high for now. Airpeace cannot be compared to Emirates and other major airlines that have many aircrafts. I believe that with time they will arrive there. The Canadian government must give clearance to Airpeace to evacuate our citizens there. Ethiopia cannot all Airpeace evacuate Ethiopian citizens anywhere in the world.

Remember to give honour to whom honour is due. In this case Airpeace. If not for them Nigeria and Nigerians would be facing the shame of not having a national airline. Airpeace serves as our national airline for now. Please bros erase negatives from your mind and support our airline.

Does Air peace have commercial flights to Canada? There is definitely a reason why their plane landed in Canada at that time, that does not justify going in again. If there is a procedure in place, then they should have done that before even planning the flight

A commercial flight is a commercial flight whether you pay $5000 or $1. Therefore commercial rules apply.

There are people with good jobs in Nigeria. You expect head of ministries to stay behind in Canada to find entry level job in the cold? The stranded people could have gone on visit and may not even have work permit.
