Firstly, if you are NOT willing to take the Bible on your own WITH A FRESH MIND: to trust God for Light and PUT ASIDE your Religious or Church Believes/Teachings/ Traditions, then you might as well FORGET THIS! Those things I've listed are real POSSIBLE Agents of BLINDNESS for you. The Berean Christians relied on the Holy Spirit and Scriptures, and they were commended by the Holy Spirit because they were diligently checking out everything they were being taught by Paul and other Apostles. Acts 17:11 Not like most of us today: "Oh! Baba/Papa Paul, O yes, amen, hallelujah..." OR "Yes, it's Pastor/Prophet/Father Paul, everything he says must be right, cos he is my Daddy/Mummy's Pastor. Etc. Secondly, I'm a Catholic/Pentecostal by birth, myself. BUT, to know the Truth, I had to GET RID of all the CATHOLICISM AND PENTECOSTALISM OF MY Parents' Church-traditions in me, trusting Jesus for light, and studying the scriptures for myself really deeply, couple with messages of Godly Men like Paul; as the Berean Christians did. Acts 17:11 (I don't mind repeating that verse 10 times) Before you judge me, have a listen: Romans 3:4 KJV ... yea, let God be TRUE, but EVERY MAN a LIAR; as it is written... Therefore, don't even trust the Writer of this Writing: CHECK IT ALL OUT, please. That said, those living under the Law/Old Covenant cannot please God, and DO NOT have any hope of ENTERING God's Kingdom in any case: Galatians 5:4 NLT 4 For if you are TRYING to make yourselves RIGHT With God by KEEPING THE LAW, you have been CUT OFF from Christ! You have FALLEN AWAY FROM God’s GRACE. Romans 10:4 KJV For Christ is the END of THE LAW for righteousness to every one that believeth. John 1:17 KJV For THE LAW was given by Moses, but GRACE AND TRUTH came by Jesus Christ. Galatians 5:18 KJV But IF YE be led of the SPIRIT, ye are NOT UNDER THE LAW. Some Churches/Religions are strictly Old covenant-themed: leading people astray! Nevertheless, MANY Preachers/Churches are Subtler and even MORE DANGEROUS OR WORSE OFF, because they are always MIXING the NEW and OLD COVENANT messages; especially for "Profit or Moneymaking". They cleverly SELECT some verses of the old testament to justify their Popularity and MONEYMAKING techniques, under the ROOF of the Gospel. Examples of those old covenant teaching are about FIRST FRUITS, TITHING, etc. They won't say anything about Ceremonial laws, or Physical CIRCUMCISION, holy days, and even the Ten commandments, and so on. Of course, because the latter ones have got NO MONEY/Popularity INVOLVED. It's hypocrisy or a deception to obey only A PART of the law and not the whole. (See Gal.5:3-6) The Solution and Truth: John 1:17 KJV For the law was given by Moses, but GRACE AND TRUTH CAME by Jesus Christ. Moses = the Law (Ended or Fulfilled in Christ): Romans 10:4 KJV For Christ is the END of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. (See also Matt. 5:17, Gal. chap 5; Romans chap. 7 & 8 ) Jesus = Grace + Truth Grace = forgiveness of SINS through repentance. Truth = Works of faith: Obedience to Jesus according to the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John (and the new testament in general). When you read the old testament (Law/flesh), always read with the Spirit of the New testament (the Spirit/Love/Truth/Faith/Obedience to Jesus). Galatians 5:4 KJV Christ is become of NO EFFECT unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are FALLEN from grace. sonmvayina: Brother, I know it's difficult to accept it, but it's definitely true. I don't argue nor try to by any means convince anyone, but I would encourage you to reread the post a bit more patiently; OR at least go through the Bible verses I quoted, "IF you don't mind." I got convinced through the Word and Holy Spirit, I believe that's the will of God, so most times (if not ALWAYS) I usually back up my posts with scriptures. Once again you are in error, for is it not written "I am the Lord, I CHANGE not"? Malachi 3:6. Did Christ not directly say that He came to fulfill the Law? Mathew 5:17/18. Has the Law ever been changed or amended whether old or new? Careful friend, you would be causing others to err from the word of Life. |

I quoted several verses to help people understand easily. Summary: Jesus has fulfil/ended (fulfil here means TO END) the LAW of Moses (flesh). We are now to live according to the Law of the Spirit (Christ), which is LOVE: 1. Love God with your entire life. 2. Love your neighbour as yourself. Jesus said, whoever does that fulfils the Whole Law. Matthew 22:37-40 KJV Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Dtruthspeaker: We are all God's creation, you worshipping a man as God is not different from a man worshipping a snake or a cow.. The commandment is "Do not make the imake or LIKENESS Of anything in heaven, on earth or under the water below the earth, do not bow down to them or serve them"..
