Aww.. Good to know u know better.. I have scanned family pictures including parents awards on publications
I'm using all these refusal points as particular explanations in my LOE.. A guru should help me read my letter na and stamp goodluck on it

Rollyxxmv:
First refusal reasons: Family ties and employment situation

I didn't include any proof family ties, meanwhile advisory says Family members birth cert, even if they're not accompanying you. I didn't also include any employment info, advisory stated otherwise

2nd refusal: the whole 5 generic reasons(Fam ties, employment, travel history, purpose, Finance status)

I retified the reasons for the first refusal, Only for me to include my POF which was 2-3months prior to my submission
Advisory says Up to date or at best 1month prior

Hello Ma'm, kindly state the documents u submitted. This will guide us.. Thank you

Your view is something else! My study permit was approved on the 17th of March for Fall 2020. My husband also applied for his Open Work Permit in a joint application and was approved too. One time. Never applied before and we got it in one try.

I have not had a bad experience with IRCC but I’ll still say that they have not been transparent enough with the study permit process. I have read enough experiences to come to this conclusion. None of the visa processes is transparent for Africans. Every year we are denied for reasons that don’t make sense. People are told they don’t have sufficient funds even when they’ve shown evidence they do. Some are denied for not having home ties even when leaving a husband and children behind. If we’re going to be denied, we need more than a generic reason.

Visa applications are a racket in case you don’t know. Visa fees are a significant portion of revenue for consulates and embassies around the world. About 81% of applications from Nigeria are denied! You can’t tell me it’s unfair for people to be upset and bitter.

Thank you your recommendation ralfudoh

This is a personal decision for you to make, no one will advise you to proceed or stop. Considering the current economic situation and high number of refusals coming in, it won't be a bad idea if you wait for things to settle down, plan for Winter or Spring resumption.

Tell him ooooo, the truth is bitter.... The truth remains whites can't just say Africans should stay out of their country , and secondly they make money from us.....

We trying to leave our country is not that we dont like it, but because our politicians has buried the country, we search for a better country to make ends meat .......

How can you deny someone based on family ties in home country ?

Before you denied him, you should ask , was he applying with Canada passport or Nigeria.... I believe passport remains the only international identity of one from a particular country ...

There is no how one will not return ...either to see his people or to be buried ....what do the VOs mean sef

Upset and bitter? Why exactly Like I don’t understand? Canada visa is not our right. They have every right to deny everyone if they like. I have not gotten Canadian visa before, I have been denied a USA visa previously but God forbid I will be upset and bitter, for what now. My dear don’t be feeling entitled to go to another person’s country, they did not beg you to apply. If u feel like applying and dashing them visa fee, go ahead. But don’t come and be disturbing us here when they deny you. I repeat, YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO A CANADIAN VISA! I don’t understand what’s unfair.

Bro Canada does not owe u visa, I pray ur study permit gets granted but they don’t owe u shit! They have every right to stop granting Nigerian citizens visa if they please. My point is, when u get rejected, don’t bring emotions here to talk down on Canadian immigration. Nigerians are to sentimental. I wish everyone well oo abeg make una free me.

Hi All,

Would it be an issue if one has an active Express Entry account when applying for a Canadian study permit. Would it be advisable to delete the EE profile?

Am asking cos the spate of denials are worrisome and one cannot be too careful.

Yes, please delete the EE profile before applying for a Study Visa.

@naijaforeigner
Please i need a run through on how you applied for your second program. You're the perfect person to help me out.
I'm not interested in a thesis or Phd,that's why im picking 1yr instead

My questions are

1. is it hard getting a second study permit over there?
2.What documents are required for a second study permit?
(especially the letter of recommendation)
3.When is it advisable to apply for a second study permit and also a second program?
(im basically asking the for time line so as to meet up with the 2nd study permit and the 2nd program)
4.Is it advisable to apply to the same university for the second time, also would they accept you?
5.can one do a co-op program within the 1yr masters?
6.For your 2nd program, did you still pick a masters degree and why?

Please, anyone else can answer, naijaforeigner is the only one I know that has been through this process, that's why I'm directing it at him

I eagerly await anyone's response...thank you for the help you guys render here.
God bless you all

Very necessary because it's says alot about your reason for wanting to study which you didnt state in your SOP. If EE is your reason from the oneset, I'll advise you do that towards the end of your studies(with your PGWP), when you get there.

My opinion, you don't need the following

Toefl, Gmat reports, waec (Your Letter of admission LOA is enough). If these documents were listed in your LOA, then you can include them but if they were not listed, totally not necessary.

Cost of living estimate from school website: Not necessary. IRCC already know you need at least 10,000 Cad in your SOA.

Siblings birth certificates is not necessary. You already listed them in the form and they are not your sponsors.

Got this off ircc website.

Please check official fee schedule and birth certificates.

I was asked if I have taken any standardized English language test before, I ticked yes and my toefl score report is the evidence.

I hope my GMAT score report also helps to push the point that I merited the admission for mba.

Nope, you dont, not until you get your visa,...

You can only do your registration for classes when you have your visa, then you can talk of paying your tuition fee from here or there... Is optional... If you can pay here, fine, if you can pay there good, but the 100k you paid is also part of your tuition fee....E.g if your tuition fee is 400k and you accepted the admission with 100k.....that means you have to balance up 300k when you start up class ...

ok yes it's fine I just wanted to know if she've done any post secondary education...since you said so it ok..once her waec is ok she will get the admission for the university 1 program...
But how long ago did she write her WAEC?...there will definitely be a gap from that time to now .....this is where you have to make a detailed convincing explanation to the visa officer while appling for her visa what she was doing from the year she wrote Waec till now....

Good day house and all the gurus, I’m writing my SOP right now, is it advisable to talk about a school that you paid the acceptance fee then turned down because of another school in order to like show how much you care about this particular school and their program?

Hello everyone, guess y'all staying safe..
I got a quick question to ask ,more or else like a clarification

I wasn't able to pay My tuition in CAD$ , so my skool told me I can pay in USD $,...

So my Dad (Sponsor) withdrew some amount of money from his First Bank Account in Naira , changed them to USD $ and paid it into his FCMB Domiciliary Bank..
So its thru the FCMB domiciliary account he paid my tuition fee and it was the TELEX receipt (FCMB) I sent to the sch. they used to send me my TUITION PAYMENT RECEIPT

The FIRST BANK Account , thats where the funds for my Sponsorship, L.E., Proof of Funds etc. are located

My question is that, hope it doesn't mean anything otherwise that my Sponsor used his FCMB Domiciliary account to pay my tuition fee instead of his first Bank account (with lot of Funds)

Thanks...

Hello Lekiboboe

It won't be susceptible to your application in any way and the reason comes in two:

1. I believe the inflow and outflow has history of similar running amounts or to such extent.

2. To be totally satisfied, you can as well just print the BS cover page and the page of the transaction and support it in brief in your Letter.

Nice job you doing here!
