Not much, about 80-95w, I have put off some bulbs, don't really need them on , but make kiekie never happy o!!!, its like the pulse repair is doing its job, I don't expect a 100% result, at least 70-80% is OK for me
Nice one, although what I do when faced with a partly sulfated 200ah battery is I charge it to around 16v with a 4amps laptop adapter for about 5hrs, the battery's capacity will surely increase

What is sulfation? During use, small sulfate crystals form, but these are normal and are not harmful. During prolonged charge deprivation, however, the amorphous lead sulfate converts to a stable crystalline and deposits on the negative plates. This leads to the development of large crystals that reduce the battery’s active material, which is responsible for the performance.

There are two types of sulfation: reversible (or soft sulfation), and permanent (or hard sulfation). If a battery is serviced early, reversible sulfation can often be corrected by applying an overcharge to an already fully charged battery in the form of a regulated current of about 200mA. The battery terminal voltage is allowed to rise to between 2.50 and 2.66V/cell (15 and 16V on a 12V mono block) for about 24 hours. Increasing the battery temperature to 50–60°C (122–140°F) during the corrective service further helps in dissolving the crystals.

Permanent sulfation sets in when the battery has been in a low state-of-charge for weeks or months. At this stage, no form of restoration seems possible; however, the recovery yield is not fully understood. To everyone’s amazement, new lead acid batteries can often be fully restored after dwelling in a low-voltage condition for many weeks. Other factors may play a role.

A subtle indication whether lead acid can be recovered or not is visible on the voltage discharge curve. If a fully charged battery retains a stable voltage profile on discharge, chances of reactivation are better than if the voltage drops rapidly with load.

Several companies offer anti-sulfation devices that apply pulses to the battery terminals to prevent and reverse sulfation. Such technologies will lower the sulfation on a healthy battery, but they cannot effectively reverse the condition once present. It’s a “one size fits all” approach and the method is unscientific.

Applying random pulses or blindly inducing an overcharge can harm the battery by promoting grid corrosion. There are no simple methods to measure sulfation, nor are commercial chargers available that apply a calculated overcharge to dissolve the crystals. Sulfation (sul-fay-shun), the number one cause of early battery failures, can be safely reversed, using high frequency electronic pulses. Unlike other pulse type battery chargers that claim this or similar sounding features, VDC’s BatteryMINDers® use a range of high frequencies. This ensures both old and newly formed sulfation will be safely dissolved in the shortest possible time. Using just one fixed frequency may remove some, but not all, especially long established–hardened sulfate crystals,
In summary, if you want your batteries to deliver the very best performance and have the longest possible life, they must be kept free of sulphate by desulfating them in the safest, most effective way.

Just keep us posted on the performance. Looking forward to hearing good news.

Good question my brother @penuelseun how far?

I think a timer will be appropriate then, I'd love to see how it goes.

Secondly, after the first charge do I have to repeat it again? And what's the timing of such charges?

It should only be done if you notice a reduction in performance of the battery, I usually leave it at that point for between 4hrs to 5hrs, I do that once in 45days

I won't advise that you go for 300watts single panel as they mostly come in 36v as you are running a 12v system unless you are planning to get an mppt cc, I have no brand in mind unless you are going for premium brands which are more expensive

Thanks a lot

Hello guys , I have reduced my load, since I have finished my test and satisfied but my wanlesanhe pulse repair charger is taking time to fully charge maybe because I used it for long yesterday for testing, but I am OK as long as the Desulfstor is doing its job, I am now using my 15inch a monitor with my decoder and mini ak328h amplifier , we have light around 12pm,1pm or 2pm
My battery starting point is always 12.8 v or 12.9v and takes hours to get to 12.2v

Kiekie1 has a full river 200ah available, its not 100%, no seller has a used battery that is 100% OK, batteries can be 50% OK depends on user, most of the users are Nigerians , I tested the battery when I was there for a replacement, he tested the full river with a 400w load but it 30mins but the one I took dropped 40mins , he is willing to give at a very very good price, since he doesn't want to sell used batteries anymore , I would have taken it but I explained to him my wife was expecting so I am channeling the little I have on my unborn kid,, please if u can risk it, order for a battery pulse repair online and carry the battery, but make sur u have a small load, u can order for cheaper pulse repair battery charger from Jumia, just get patience, I will enjoy it, hope he is not reading this post and trying yo bring the battery back
