Political statement

Reminds me of Ogun fake rice pyramids

Rice pyramids with 95% bags of sand

It's not even about the rice mill it's about but about land for cultivation. Lagos doesn't have lands for agriculture.

I am also setting up a rice mill of but I have access to huge cultivated rice farms. Agriculture is the thing now

That's to show you the audio achievements of these politicians

It's not audio. Nigerians are eating more of local rice now than foreign rice.
In fact there are more demand for local rice than foreign because the foreign is more expensive than local so Nigerians are going for cheaper one.

Then among the local rice there are grades and quality levels. The low quality ones are still cheap.

Farmers are cashing in big time

I hope after completion we will be able to buy rice again at #10000 per bag

Prices will go down with time by the time the market gets saturated, more producers will come in, who will crash the price to take there market share.
but it is still long way.

Yes wheat is grown in Nigeria but in at small scale and not enough to meet our local consumption. Mostly planted in the north.

Don't be a goat.. we have others that have more capacity than this, the more the mills, the higher the price of rice undecided

Everyone is waiting for you to reel out the mills you know, their locations with the capacities, since you seem to know much. Oya!

It's very very funny how Nigerians love to do paperwork...
Where is this mill supposed to get paddy from?

As at present... We have very limited amount of paddy in Nigeria as can be seen in the recent surge in price of processed rice/kg.

You people should open the borders and sustain production... But No.

Quite nice....
Price of rice before border matter....11K
Price of rice after border matter... 27K and rising... Naija and progress

Guys do you think it is a wise idea??

I like bread, can bake one, and don't mind calling a bakery my office.

. This is a very nice and profitable business. I am currently working as an internal Auditor in a standard bakery and creamery company in my current location. If you don't mind, you can contact me if you need any help in setting up a bakery. I'm capable of providing consultancy services to you. I tell you, it is very profitable if you have the best recipe and you do your marketing home work.

Not really a good news expecting to see lagos government investing in core rice production (farming ). The project is just for processing of rice and not production. We need more agricultural rice production.
Re: Imota Rice Mill, Lagos Capable Of Producing 2.4 Million 50kg Bags Yearly by Nobody: 1:54pm On May 19, 2020
With this capacity how are they going to source for rice paddy, with the way high capacity rice mills are cropping up soon there won't be enough rice paddy to feed the mills. Rice farming should also be priority and herdsmen checked.

So they will move the raw rice all the way from Kebbi first. That's a little bit stressful but overall still a good idea.

Keep shut Mr SW. Only shallow minded individuals with group mentality with no mind of their own do like this. I am from that state myself and see nothing extraordinary about this. The least thing you can do as a human being is to be able to feed yourselves. How extraordinary is that?
