You guys propose that an intelligent designer created everything, so what was its purpose for these sorts of elements?

I'D LIKE TO KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF NATURAL DISASTERS AND VOLCANOES BUT SINCE HE'S MYSTERIOUS, WE JUST HAVE TO LIVE AND DIE WITHOUT THE EXPLANATIONS FOR WHY A SUPPOSEDLY INTELLIGENT DESIGNER'S DESIGNS AREN'T SO INTELLIGENT AT ALL.

For this sort of topics, it's good you read the book of universal history OtemAtum is compiling and critique it.

You can get the PDF version. Many key parts of the book have been hidden by mods on the thread.

Though some people may feel otherwise, that book is 100 times greater, more reasonable, and complete than any religious book of today or modern historical literature.

And that's not an exaggeration since I have read Qur'an from the front cover to the back many times as a former Muslim and know the Bible quite well.

I am also familiar with other religious texts.

So, I can make a fair comparison.

The book is an essential piece of literature to read and critique to learn of the origin of God, gods and goddesses, along with many philosophies and concepts in religions today and in history.

If some people base their atheistic notion on merely what they read in the Bible and Qur'an without reading a piece of literature like that book, they're only working with half knowledge/information on these issues.

The book has fuller stories of the gods and goddesses of religions and their prophets as many essential things about these entities are not in the Bible and Qur'an.

When I read the book in 2018, it took me a year to finish it as I was reading it piece by piece some days in the week due to my busy schedule. It's really worth checking out and critiquing.

I also studied the Seriot language Otem says he got most of the revelations in and can confirm it's a real language. And it's quite marvelous.

I consider the literature as an essential book of history, where one can learn many life's mysteries.

The book is seminal, and other great ones are "The Code to the Matrix" by Sevan Bomer and "A Brief History of Human Kind, Sapiens" by Yuval Noah.

You sure know the universe has countless number of elements, each with a purpose.

IMO, all the gods and goddesses of religions, are elements of the Universe, which is a part of God Almighty or the All as hermetists say, just like every other entity and thing in existence is.

That's a complex question to answer, since these elements could be infinite as the Universe itself is limitless.

Are you referring to one element in particular?

If you're interested in reading the history book by Otem (or other related ones), you can send me a mail on skilledwriter88@gmail.com. I would send the PDF to you.

My lack of belief is not not based on the Bible or any religious text. Why would it be?

So what is the purpose of inert and radioactive elements?
I thought the answers were obvious. It's like asking what's the purpose of oxygen in the air or that of nitrogen?

Maybe your question really has to do with the concept of good and evil.

Which of the inert elements? You know there are different inert elements.

As for radioactive elements, they serve many purposes in nature. Some radioactive elements like Uranium and Plutonium are used to design bombs.

Bombs are used in wars, etc. Things like wars and death from a universal perspective are necessary to balance our world and keep the human population in check.

When people die from wars and are buried, their carcass decays to form fossil fuel which can benefit future humans and power their world.

So this intelligent designer created radioactive elements for the making of bombs, that's your answer?

LoL! Fossil fuels cannot have formed in the last 10,000years.

Radioactive elements are harmful and helpful at the same time, a bit like fire and water.

That's why I said atheism has no depth. You can research about relatives such as right and wrong, good and evil, all of which are not universal.

Apart arguing on Nairaland, some atheists need to study books on philosophy and history of religions. If not, your discussion will sometimes look shallow.

How are fossil fuels formed? Perhaps you can tell us your own theory that doesn't involve the accumulation of organic decayed matter over time.

Uses of the Noble Gases
The noble gases are used to form inert atmospheres, typically for arc welding, to protect specimens, and to deter chemical reactions. The elements are used in lamps, such as neon lights and krypton headlamps, and in lasers. Helium is used in balloons, for deep-sea diving air tanks, and to cool superconducting magnets.

Dont tell me u don't know radioactive elements are used in generating large amounts of energy for various uses?

Life is not as simple as atheism paints it.

There are several known inert elements in nature, with different purposes, not that all of them serve a single purpose as a group, unless you want to consider their inertness as their only central purpose.

But is that not oversimplifying the problem?

More inert elements could even be discovered in the universe in the future.

D intelligent creator made mostly raw materials n gave man d intelligence to process n develop them. How u guys can look at d complex design of ur body n how d earth works; revolving around its axis in exactly 24hrs n still claim it's an accident baffles me! If today has 20hrs, tomorrow 11hrs, d next day 24hrs etc I would understand ur point. Or if some people have eyes on their back/leg etc, some 2, 4, 5 eyes, etc then u may have a point. But 99.9% of people n animals have same body parts in same locations! D truth is, like someone pointed out up there, ur lack of belief is based on d 2 major religions n their ignorance/lies!

Why are you just strawmanning everything? Did I ask you about good and evil? Keep focused on the topic and stop deflecting.

He listed their importance. Some of those could be beneficial or harmful from the human perspective.

Their importance is their purposes.

And humans are only one of the habitants of this planet.

Re: For Intelligent Design Proponents Why Were Inert & Radioactive Elements Created? by Nobody: 3:27pm On May 22, 2020
The importance or function of an entity or element is their purpose. For instance, if I design a robot to sweep the floor and do some chores for me, those are its purposes (importance). While those purposes are beneficial to me, it doesn't mean they're to my neighbor or my pet or the flowers in my garden.

Good and evil are relative and vary from one person to the other, from one tribe/culture, from one country to the other, from one species to the other.
