After keeping away from nairaland for years due to the tribalism and the hate it promotes on the cyberspace i must confess this thread got me to log in and comment after all these years. While i must confess that i am not happy to be back here i must commend my "delta-Igbo" brothers For this i must say i am really proud and happy for the way the held on to their Igbo identity.
Shame on the likes liliantalks even though her identity is questionable why would she refuse to see a sister who even offered her free transport fare knowing that corona times are hard times, and even said they could meet at the police station to guarantee security, NwanyiOgwashi you should have added palliatives maybe one cup of rice, garri and sugar anything to keep oil in the stomach to motivate her.
I know one thing for sure the OP got more than he bargained for, when the OP created this thread he expected it to be All of Delta vs Delta Igbo, he expected it to be a Igbo bash thread, going forward he probably expected the Delta Igbo's would be forced to deny their Igboness, he expected to achieve what was always a recurring decimal on the Igbo-Ikwerre thread but his brain failed to process that delta-Igbo = Igbo's living in Delta.
Minorities in Delta always like the think that delta-Igbo = Igbo denail and preferred to think of it as another tribe other than Igbo What the failed to realise was that it was just an acronym used to describe Igbo's on the other side of the Niger for specifics, and since there were in Delta then delta-Igbo was appropriate and not another tribe in it own, Anioma also does not represent another tribe rather Igbo speaking people of Delta State.
That said we know that some Anioma's do not wish to identify as Igbo based on affiliation and loyalty to the bini throne but still gladly embrace the Anioma tag "Igbo Speaking" Igboid group and we Igbo's understand and respect this, While we are brothers their throne pays homage West to the throne of bini unlike the others groups who are freeborns and pay homage to no one but king unto themselves.
As for Urhobolos, urhbolo, uhrbolo, bolouhr or whatever they call themselves abeg just respect yourselves unless i will have this account dedicated to the bolo's. Thanks.
