I paid around 9.5k (+vat etc) for an item custom rated 50k

DHL finally picked my package o, it has now showed up on their tracking page 9 days after it officially shipped. The next stage now is customs. Can anyone share their experience? How much (in percentage) did you pay.. The custom CET spreadsheet showed that Telephone and wireless devices are suppose to be charged 17% import duty and 7.5% VAT. my particular goods is was decleared as $150 if that counts. Anyone here share their experience?

Shipped a 5kg item via DHL in April. Surprisingly no charges. The seller even used a gigantic carton which is three times the size of the item to pack it making for a very big package You may get lucky and not get charged.

PS: package not phone, but costlier than most phones.

I think they tend to horn in on phones. I hope I am lucky though. I heard DSS and NDLEA usually try to pull stunts.. I am waiting for those ones. It is customs I am more concerned about.

My order is showing Despatched to OverSeas Postal Admin (From SG/SIN to NG/LOS), does that mean that it would arrive soon?

Mine has been despatched since march 21 yet it hasn't arrived in destination country

it seems I will be lucky too. I have a phone on the way by DHL (already in my state), to be delivered by Wednesday. I didn't get any call that I would have to pay

U way i first order dhl don pick urs.. Chimo.. And dey never pick mine and today makes it 12days after order

A Chuwi tablet with keyboard. Custom fee is about 20% to 25% of d their estimation (not d one declared by the Aliexpress seller) and additional charges like VAT will then join em.

Like last week a friend paid 45k for a phone custom valued $600. D guy bought d phone 191k

9ja is broke now, looking for alternative income

Account type doesn't matter as long as the debit card is Visa or MasterCard.

Apart from Gtb bank which other bank is good for AE?. I m thinking of access bank cause of proximity

which means the import duty posted on the custom website has changed. There import duty is 10% and VAT is 7%.. How did that become 20% to 25%? and the VAT is suppose to be 7.5% of the import duty. I think there has been a lot random charges without aligning with their own CET tariff document.

Do ur Maths again
191k phone attracted 45k in total---duty, vat etc
50k tablet+keyboard attracted 9.5k in total - - - duty, vat etc

Maybe d charges were haphazardly done
