Nigerian Navy Hands Over Suspected Kidnappers, Bandits To DSS

Speaking on Tuesday at the handing over, the Commandment of the School, Rear Adm. Tanko Pani, said the suspects were arrested after continuous surveillance for over 4 months.

“Following continuous surveillance for over 4 months of some dangerous criminal syndicates operating in Kachia and other parts of the State (Kaduna), we were able to conduct simultaneous surgical operations to effect their arrest.

“They were caught in various locations through effective intelligence network in various locations within the State.

”Some of them were caught in isolated forests where they were hibernating, while others were caught in hotels and their houses.

”These criminals are responsible for various criminal activities such as kidnapping, armed banditry and cattle rustling in Kachia and other parts of the State.

Question.

What's the Nigerian Navy doing in Kaduna going after, mounting 4 months surveillance and kidnappers and criminal elements.

They didn't even reveal how they were arrested, but we know who and how.

Well, this is what the Nigerian Navy boat service does, covert operations far away from the ocean and deep inside Nigeria.

Meet the men that deliver long-range precision fire for the Nigerian army. The Nigerian army has an entire battalion of snipers divided into three classes and are trained across many different types of threat environments.

Let me clear this up for you.

1. The primary tactical sniper rifle for US military and law enforcement is the M24 Sniper Weapon System (SWS)

2. The M24 Sniper Weapon System (SWS) is a souped-up fifty-six-year-old Remington 700 hunting rifle with scopes and bump stocks.

3. The rifles the Nigerian snippers posed with that you people labeled old and archaic relic are actually the same fifty-six-year-old Remington 700 hunting rifle still in use by the US Army and America law enforcement.

4. Have you asked yourself why the Americans snipers are using souped-up fifty-six-year-old Remington 700 hunting rifle?

4. Nigerians snipers have access to a wide range of sophisticated and powerful sniper rifles as displayed in the pictures so exactly what's your headache all about?

Are the Americans dumb and stupid like Nigeria or using souped-up fifty-six-year-old Remington 700 hunting rifle?

The fact is, many of our youths have serious low self-esteem issues, everything about Nigeria must be inferior and not up to par, we must be behind when in fact we are sometimes in the front.

What exactly is ur issue "Mr Know All" I posted a sniper rifle, u said it's a hunting rifle, I posted the picture of the rifle u were referring to, and now u're giving history of how sniper rifles evolved.
There ain't nothing like low self esteem here, Nigerian army are under equipped, and still using outdated military hardware.

You said the rifles in the first pictures are ancient and I pointed out to you with facts that they are Remington hunting rifles that the US army snipers are still using today, so are the Americans underequipped for using the same riffle you saw in the first picture?

Besides, there are other pictures with the latest and powerful riffles in the hands of Nigerian snipers, but you conveniently ignored that by playing blind, all you fixated on was the first picture because your mentality is to blame and ridicule Nigeria regardless.

With all the pictures posted in this thread, is it not obvious that our military has the latest and badest guns and riffles?

For those of us whose only exposure to weaponry has been thanks to Youtube and the movies, bolt-action rifles look, well, ancient, in comparison to the sexy futuristic full-auto rifles that light up our movie screens while we dictate combat tactics from the safety of our armchairs.

For the grunts on the ground, however, bolt-action rifle technology dating back to the Second World War, continues to be favored by seasoned marksmen the world over. To the armchair Tour of Duty veterans of video-game wars, just try to understand that reality differs from virtual reality.

Keep Laying Ceremony Of The Nigerian Navy Landing Ship LST-100 In The UAE. Video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIs9P3q1_Ew&feature=emb_logo

The donated ships are still functional, capable and up to task, that's all that matters, besides, we've acquired 41 new vessels in the last 4 years

We also have new ships under construction including a landing vessel and 2 5000 ton barges.

Sourcing weapons is not a straight forward affair, countries are selective per what they sell and don't sell so you end up shopping around to satisfy your needs. Like the US won't sell us combat helicopters, but Russia did with 12 new attack helicopters..

Try follow the activities of our military, go to their social media pages and twitter support groups like Defense News Nigeria, they have pictures of new hardware including the APCs you are talking about, the air wing of the new is looking more like the Nigerian air force with new air platforms.

We definitely on the right track.

A Secret? Is the U.S. Army's Go To Sniper Rifle Really Just a Hunting Rifle?

The U.S. Army’s long-serving sniper rifle has its roots in one of the most iconic American hunting rifles ever produced. The M-24 Sniper Weapon System, standard issue among the Army’s sniper teams, is based on the fifty-six-year-old Remington 700 hunting rifle.

The US Army's long-standing sniper rifle is an adaptation of the same hunting rifle, the same Remington 700 hunting rifle the Nigerian snipers took pictures with.

US Army said they are using hunting riffle, but layperson here on NL is claiming otherwise. Or you sitting on NL spewing rubbish know more than the Americans and the US Army?

Obviously, our Military saw some wisdom in that rifle especially the reason why the US Army snippers adopted the same rifle and deployed the same rifle in Nigeria so what's your point? If Nigerians are dumb and stupid for using that rifle, then the almighty US Army snipers are also dumb and stupid for using that rifle.

You are not making any sense, before rubbishing Nigeria and your own country, do a little research.

Acquiring 41 vessels in less than 4 years and still have some being built for us as we speak, we acquired 12 combat helicopters, Agusta attack helicopters for our NAF special forces and Navy special boat service, we just received the VT-4 tanks, the best MBT (Main Battle Tank) in our neighborhood, including the ST1 Type 08 105mm tank destroyer 8x8 armored vehicle, it can strike against multi-targets and fortifications 10km away, we all acquired SH5 Wheeled self-propelled howitzer 105mm, one of the deadliest weapons on the battlefield, it can blow away targets km away.

At the same time, our new J-17 fighters are undergoing flight testing, our 12 Tucanos are also undergoing final testing, we've acquired 41 vessels with more being built from scratch as we speak.

The US dept of defense approved the purchase of 10,000 BAE produced Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System units for the United States, Nigeria and the Netherlands.

https://www.thedefensepost.com/2019/02/07/bae-contract-apkws-rocket-guidance-nigeria-netherlands-225-million/

Meaning our rockets are going to be precision and guided rockets shoot to kill and never to miss.

This is on top of thousands of guided bombs and precision rockets and missiles.

Our military across the board carries the best guns around, our military is also producing battlefield vehicles, Innoson is now a major defense contractor.

Point is, we are not there yet, but we are spending massively to cover our shortcomings, gone are the days when our $2.3 billion weapons money was stolen and given to Dasuki to share with the likes of FFK, Fyose, Metun and other unpatriotic thieves and looters while our men die defenseless on the battlefield.

It's sad that many of the people badmouthing our military did not care and said nothing when their heroes stole and share our defense funds when they bought old and decommissioned fighters that can not fight because they did not come with bomb racks to carry and release bombs, not canon gun racks either, they have self-induced amnesia, but all of a sudden they have mouth to talk and bad mouth our military men and women sacrificing their lives to protect their lay coward ass.

Liking old models of sniper (hunting rifles) is very different from using those old models on the battle ground, cos it doesn't make sense to keep improving on the models and then still go back to the older ones and use them on the battle ground.

Small small, Innoson is becoming a major military contractor, selling more military vehicles than civilian vehicles.

Never say our government is not doing anything for Innoson or not patronizing and promoting our local manufacturers. I think Innoson should start spending money on R&D for new military hardware for the Nigerian military to buy and adopt.

Innoson can make tanks, they can make drones, artillery pieces and so on, drones I'm 100% they can make in no time.
