I took the weights and heights straight from the breed standards supplied by the SABBS, KUSA, UKC, AKC and FCI....

The minimum weight for Boerboels are 60kg for males and 55kg for females........With COs its 55kg for males and 45kg for females......there are no upper weight limits for both breeds.

The Boerboels in the video are average size.....They are Middelpos Alpha who weighed around 80-85kg(about my boys size) and Middelpos Dixie who weighs around 70kg.....

As i said i don't doubt COs reach this size however the Boerboels in the video are nowhere near the biggest

over here bloodlines that grow that big are expensive so their dogs aren't common, are you not seeing how Nigerians are loving mike even as you are saying he's not even nowhere near the biggest?

you're just used to seeing those pure champion bloodlines, come here and see even during BB appraisals and count how many are even bigger than mike.
BB only grow that big when you get a solid pup which can cost around 200-350k
meanwhile an average standard Caucasian of around 100-150k will grow bigger than the average BB of that price range.

You have to remember only Dogs registered with the SABBS are Boerboels by law..........hence none SABBS registered dogs are not Boerboels!!

All Boerboels registered with the SABBS are big dogs, even those in Nigeria........I personally know of Plaaswag Hulk(88%) which was exported to a client in Lagos not to long ago!!

The problem is there are so many people advertising dogs as Boerboels in Nigeria when in actual fact they are not even remotely related to a Boerboel......Hence why I now understand why you said only 1-50 Boerboels look like the one in the Video!!

Judging by what you said earlier on this thread I would conclude that the standard of Caucasians in Nigeria is much better than the Standards of Boerboels in Nigeria........Hence why in Nigerian COs might very well be larger on average than the Boerboel!!

yes this is correct,south Africa has better Boerbel bloodlines so the standard between here and there is different.

Currently his 22months old 76cm/30in at the shoulder and a very lean 83kg/183lbs

You've obviously 1. never seen a proper SABBS registered Boerboel and 2. Not read the Breed standard of both Breeds
