I will try if I could get to that of Asaba cos that's the closest to akwa ibom. But if everything comes back to normal, I will order from AliExpress. I have a guy that could help me fix it

This is making it five months that I started using magnetic charging cord. No issues yet, so go for it

It seems the charging port is the major issue with this phone, I've been using the 5.1+ for over a year now and the charging port is the only issue I have encountered and it's really frustrating. I have been managing the port for 7 months same way you're, by charging with Oraimo power bank overnight or during the day, all by finding the right position. It takes 4hrs or sometimes 5hrs for it to be fully charged.

Best solution is, take it to the nearest Nokia care center and replace the faulty part. This is what I have been intending to do o but the nearest Nokia care center to me are both still far away, Asaba and PH. But after this lockdown, I go struggle do am, I nor go reason the journey.

So sorry that you are having this issue..

But if you keep to these two rules, you won't have charging port problem.

1. Do not receive or make calls while phone is on charge

2. Do not browse or do any heavy stuff with the phone while the phone is charging.

Keep to these rules and you will thank me later

I bought it newly and it did not fall. Started 3 days after buying it. I could not return it because of lockdown

I took it to one Nokia care center in bannex Abuja on Tuesday. Up till now, they did not call me and the number the lady gave me is not going through.

Note: To successfully have a operational 4g network, your phone, sim and area must support 4G. And your phone must also have the baseband of the network e.g. glo 28(700) Airtel 3 etc

I just updated to android 10 on my Nokia 5.1 plus

It's beautiful!


The update was smooth. I didn't loose any fees cos I didn't have to factory reset. I use the global Version of the Nokia 5.1plus
