budaatum:What is the difference between Abacha,IBB and Buhari. After all Buhari said Abacha never stole. |

budaatum:The problem is the acquired the luxury vehicles, mansions in and outside Nigeria and liquid assets after they got into politics. Can you point any factory's they owned before they got into politics. We know how Linda Ikeji acquired her wealth, same with Kanu Nwanko,Jay Jay Okocha and CEO's of Nigerian blue chips companies through the public disclosure of their salaries and ownership of shares in the companies they run, but majority of wealth in the country cannot be accounted for. And can be traced to government coffers one way or another through inflated contracts, abandoned projects and acting as fronts for corrupt politicians, civil servants and military generals. |

RuudVanNisteroy:Abacha stole, and if he was on the ballot today, I'm sure Nigerians would not vote for him nor for Babangida. Buhari, on the other hand has won two elections so I doubt we Nigerians see them the same way going by the evidence before us. |

budaatum:Why did your idol "Saint Buhari" absolve one of the greatest looter's the world has ever known Abacha ? And you say he is better than IBB, when they are nothing, but birds of the same feather.

RuudVanNisteroy:As I said, we, the electorate, voted for "$350,000 Rolls Royce Phantom purchasing" and "luxury vehicles, mansions in and outside Nigeria" politicians, and if we wanted factorys we should have voted for factory building politicians! Thankfully, we get another chance in 2023 to shine our eyes and get our priorities right, but we must first see the errors of our past choices and mend our ways. |

RuudVanNisteroy:You'll have to ask him that yourself, but at least you have not yet said "Buhari stole". And I never said he was "Saint Buhari". At worst, he is the lesser of two evils. |

budaatum:An accessory of theft is equally as guilty as the thief. Buhari has a track record of defending thieves caught red handed stealing like Abacha,Ganduje and Atiku Bagudu- who helped Abacha launder billions of dollars and was even jailed in America, before his return to Nigeria. |
| Re: Time For Nigerians To Start Questioning People's Source Of Wealth by budaatum: 5:56pm On May 28, 2020 |
RuudVanNisteroy:You are entitled to your opinion about Buhari's track record. It's for that reason we have democracy. Each person votes according to their opinion and the person with the most opinionated voters wins the election, and as you can see by the last two elections, those with your opinion are in the minority. |

I'm not here to defend Buhari, i'm not politically affliated and i dont know Buhari from Adamo. I remember Buhari from his first stint as Head of State. Now that is all cleared up, lets support Buhari to drain our swamp. It isnt against the law to become wealthy within the parameters of the law. The first step is for us to dismantle colonisation. Whether its Buhari or a new person from out of the blue, we need a strong leader that everyone can stand behinde as we drain our swamp. Who are our swamp? All the archaic and draconian colonial systems are our swamp. i.e foreign educational systems, unfair trade, foreign extremist ideologies, archaic and outdated colonial agreements e.t.c |

budaatum:Under Buhari- Nigeria became the poverty and corruption capital of the world. Politicians like Dino Melaye openly flaunt their N3 billion($7 million dollar) car collection, former Chicago drug baron is moving 2 bullion vans to his residence in broad daylight,Governos are openly collecting $5 million dollar bribes on video and Army Chief is acquiring mansions in Dubai with his "savings from his snake farm". |

Lets work to make Africa great again. We MUST dismantle all the colonial systems and rip up all their archaic and draconian agreements, then we can hope to make the rapid progress that we rightfully deserve. |

RuudVanNisteroy:And as I said, you just need to convince us that your dream can be a reality we can desire and work for, but if you intend to do that by making unfounded claims of assuming wealthy means crooked, you might have to remove some wealthy people from that list of yours. budaatum: |

Amujale:Stop blaming the British, they left in 1960. |
| Re: Time For Nigerians To Start Questioning People's Source Of Wealth by Amujale(m): 6:09pm On May 28, 2020 |
RuudVanNisteroy:That is a lie. Colonialism simply morphed into neocolonialism. Didnt you know that? |
| Re: Time For Nigerians To Start Questioning People's Source Of Wealth by Nobody: 6:10pm On May 28, 2020 |
Amujale:Did they force Nigerian military generals, civil servants and politicians to loot $600 billion dollars since 1960?It is time Nigerians and Africans accept responsibility.

budaatum:I never said wealthy means crooked. I simply stated it is not out of place to probe the source of wealth of overnight billionaires in the corruption capital of the world. And my cabinet consists mostly of corporate titans that reached the pinnacle in the private sector. |
| Re: Time For Nigerians To Start Questioning People's Source Of Wealth by budaatum: 6:15pm On May 28, 2020 |
RuudVanNisteroy:Personally, I wish Buhari could do what he's known for, which is, imprison looters for 200 years, but I'm not willing to sacrifice democracy and the rule of law for him to do that. Everyone with a brain knows Nigeria's wealth correlates with the price of crude oil, and that Nigeria became poverty capital of the world because the government before him stuck Nigeria's wealth in ghanamustgoes and soakaways and bought "$350,000 Rolls Royce Phantom purchasing" and "luxury vehicles, mansions in and outside Nigeria" when crude oil was $150 a barrel. If they had invested that money in capital projects and the education of Nigerians as they should have done, Nigeria would have been less poor. |

RuudVanNisteroy:There isnt one function of government that isnt currently being run by foreign institutions. Between, why was they here in the first instance? All the colonialist never left, they are still exploiting our resources, controlling our systems. Lets stop blaming our leaders but instead work with them to defeat the real enemy, the former colonialist. |

budaatum:Wealth o. Income o. All na same wrapper tie them. You're just being mischievous or maybe still ignorant. The important thing is that the source of the income/wealth must be clearly shown. EOD |

RuudVanNisteroy:Stealing is bad no matter the amount. However, what amount is larger $600 billion since 1960 or $999 trillion since 1960 not including the uncountable amount before then? |

RuudVanNisteroy:If Falana, a very wealthy lawyer, can be on your list, perhaps you might see how that corporate titan Osinbajo Close neighbour of mine can be on someone else's list. You might not know how he became wealthy, but those of us who lived in his neighbourhood and who can reason well, know he has been rich before going into politics. No one becomes a billionaire overnight, is my point, and not every billionaire stole their billions as we can obviously see by the billionaires on your list, assuming you scrutinised them before they got on your list, that is. |

RuudVanNisteroy:Assuming the colonialist leave us to sort our lives, Nigeria will be richer and better than UAE. |

Agboriotejoye:I don't have to show anyone the source of my wealth or income! You may indeed ask, but you'd need the right credentials, like being the tax office or be investigating me for a crime before I need to even consider your existence. |

| Re: Time For Nigerians To Start Questioning People's Source Of Wealth by Nobody: 6:31pm On May 28, 2020 |
budaatum:We need to tax authorities to be proactive and this is how we will end corruption in Nigerian. If you can't account for how you acquired your mansions and cars, without paying adequate tax. Your property should be seized and auctioned. |
